Also I wanted to introduce myself here, been a lurker since first week.

And to add my contribution, is everyone aware the fact that Omega was originally build by the Reapers?

No?

On the Retribution novel (spoilers ahead) Grayson is indoctrinated, the Reapers speak to him, and this is what they say about Omega  The cycle continues.  Each civilization  brings change, yet the works of our kind are eternal“.

This is what the Catalyst says after Shepard chooses Refusal. It's another evidence he might be a Reaper or something not good.

To me the pre-EC was definitely the deal breaker to get the speculations going.
Doing the EC with the original ending in mind made me appreciate the EC more, because it feels like the ending they had in mind (I don't mean the one they were promoting pre-release but the one we got). It feels a lot more thought through and polished.

IT-wise I find it better because it removed possible clues that anti-ITer would dismiss are sloppy programming like the keeper you could walk through pre-EC.

In other words, things about which it was unclear whether they were bugs or intended now are better distinguishable as such. Also, knowing that they had time to remove random bugs like the missing wall on Mars but kept the strange holes in the hull on Cronos station, helps that, too.

In short, the EC offers a better basis for arguments.

Interesting way of looking at it. I would have thought actually people would like the pre-EC better, since it has more plotholes to wonder about. But yes, the ending with the EC does seem to make you wonder why they kept certain weird things there (or added...), when they had time to fix them.

Aaaawww, did I miss all the sentimental talk? Now I'm sad :(

Anyway, I feel that there's a certain reason why we're here. And it's not because we all just have the same opinion. If anything, these last 3 threads have shown that.

It's because we care for each other.

We don't judge people in here, we don't mindlessly attack each other here, we don't less of toher people just because oh some disabilities they may have in real life. We are one big family on these forums, and the bond between each of us, indoctrinationists, literalists like Hagar and Epyon, is strengthened by each new person here, be it lurker or newcomer, who'd like to share his thoughts with us. This has made that bond that ties us together as a family nigh unbreakable. And it's all because we worked together as a family to ensure that there at least is one place in this forum where you can (largely) escape the hate from outside.

I am proud of all of you here, and have to say that my feelings for everyone here is stronger than I ever imagined any internet relationship could be like. And I am proud to call myself a member of this family.

Oh you...

Would be awesome if we could watch today's conference together on one TV, you know, like other people watch sport games together...to then scream at the screen because EA only showed a 2 minute teaser for the Wii version of ME3. :P

I know, this is why I think Karpyshyn had this ending thought from the beginning, if you read the novels all of them talk about indoctrination, not that dark matter crap.

Also, I'm gonna add my speculation and leave.

Omega build by Reapers with crucible shape + Omega 4 relay wich we all know is a “special“ relay.

See where I'm going?

Oh, I'd be so pissed off it that were the only thing they'd show!

But yeah, it would be awesome if we could all watch this press conference together.

Does any one know how to use a flycam in ME3?

Gotta ask. Do you like the ending with the EC more, or do you think the original one was better, IT-wise?

It does very little. EC didn't remove points, other than Joker's magical pickup run, which was replaced with an even more magical pickup run. Control and Synthesis seem even worse. There were a few small points for IT, but more or less, EC didn't change anything.

Basically, precisely what Maximized Action and BleedingUranium said, exactly.

Prior to the EC, Mass Effect was ruined by the endings.

All the EC did was make it less of an ultimatum. Instead of IT or the endings ruin ME forever, it was IT or the endings kinda blow.

They're still thematically repulsive in a reductionist veiw.

Also, look here for some questions of yours I answered earlier;

See where I'm going?

Maybe Omega is a countermeasure (a jamming device or a thing that alters the Crucible's function) in case Organics build the Crucible.

Or both work in conjunction. But if Omega was built by the Reapers, maybe the Crucible is a trap too.

The crucible could be a device used to indoctrinate the entire galaxy instantly if configured properly. or could not be.

It may explain why TIM (the Reapers) took Omega in the first place, have it under control so no one can use it besides them.

So you feel the same about the EC as you feel about the original ending? Like them both just the same?

Actually it's more like what was just said, what they didn't change is the most telling. For me, the most obvious is the galaxy map beamy scene not being changed

The only thing I need to see to confirm it's Paxxton is the control support banner.
