Chris just confirmed on Twitter that it was the Montreal team that dropped that pic hint today. Doesn't Montreal focus exclusively on MP DLC whilst Edmonton works on SP DLC? Then why was Shep in the pic? Hmm.

That is some stretch of extrapolation relating to geography!

Just a genuine question since I was under the impression that those respective studios handled each seperately. Perhaps he misspoke.

I never thought of shepard being the bad guy before seeing the video....always assumed the kid was running from a reaper just off camera. Now it seems that shepard is what he's running from.

Its also clear that there was a clear progression through the dream sequences.

Silence, then incomprehensible whispers, then squadmates whispering
No shadows, then shadows that surround and obscure the kid, then shadows that open a clear path to the kid

Edit: said clear twice in same sentence, thats how you know you're tired ^^

There was heavy usage of the flycam in this video. Players on consoles are denied the luxury of flycam to "understand" the game, simply put. That would make a huge lot of players missing much of the "evidence".

Despites that, are you suggesting that the Reapers are purposedly giving hints to Shepard that he is undergoing indoctrination? How would "sane Shepard" interpret his dreams himself, if someone had to ask him in game?

Damn late here. Off to bed. I'll read more tomorrow.

Great video! Thoroughly enjoyed it! The humor, the evidence, the tension (God the whispers!), the truth!

Anyways I dunno if I will be getting any sleep tonight- glad I don't have work tomorrow :)
But I would be glad to keep anyone still posting company!

No, Shepards mind is resisting, causing interference with the visions, at least that is the way i am interpreting the weird stuff.

Its like Shepard subcounsciousness is trying to make Shepard see that something is wrong.

I haven't played with a full renegade faced Shep yet but that scene where Prettz's Shep saw "other Shep" in the 3rd dream was really... creepy!

Been watching the Mothman Prophecies (at 3a.m.!) with Richard Gere and Laura Linney and I cant help but try to draw connections between the very well filmed movie and IT in Mass Effect, maybe its just cause I'm tired :P

Great video Prettz. Really enjoyed it. One question. At 45:21 - did you put that husk head on the toilet as an easter egg or is it in the game?

The whole game is a hallucination. The breath scene is in the rubble of the defence commitee room right at the start of the game when the reapers first attack. To find out what really happens you'll have to buy ME4.

Before anybody starts I know there are reasons why this can't be true. It's just one of my wackier ideas for a laugh.

Uhm, guys when I linked to that holdtheline thread I was referring to this post exactly, this guy datamined leviathan files and found this one wich is new. The ships reminded me of the one in the picture that was showed in Montreal. Look at the file name.

I guess it's possible that he could be looking at the blueprints of one of the ships in Aria's fleet. I just don't think that one of her ships would be that important... I do not know what to make of the Montreal pic.

That's how I always saw the dream sequences myself, from the start.  As a warning.  As Shepard resisting, fighting back.  And of course, the dreams get more intense and disturbing each time.

It actually works well with the conversations with squadmates post-dream sequence.  Shepards squad mates are really concerned with Shep's state of mind, how Shep is coping with the strain.

That's why I love the dream sequences and post dream conversations. You can see Shepard slipping and not acting like himself. The squad mates point this out. If anybody thinks that the squad mates are slowly being indoctrinated, I think the fact that they know Shepard is not okay means that only Shepard is the one being affected.

I can't stand them. They're one of the few things that ruin replayability of the game for me. Every time I think about creating a new character I think about the Earth mission, the citadel meeting with the council, the dream sequence and the tutorial of the ship with traynor. Just can't do it.

Okay off my rant, I think there's interesting speculation on whether Shepard is asleep in the second dream or if it's just a hallucination. Garrus does tell you to get some rest, but it's odd. The game makes a point to show you that Shepard is using a data pad but it has seemingly no significance. There are some other odd things about that scene too. He's never explicitly shown lying down in a bed and he can be wearing any outfit. Why would Shepard be taking a nap in his Alliance Dress Suit?

Oh tell me about it, when I decide to play a new game I start just after you get Garrus, the beginning of the game is completely unplayable for me. I think someone fly-cammed that scene and discovered Shepard was sitting down on the couch in his cabin on a data pad. It was suggested that maybe that was the point when Shepard was entering information to Cerberus, and that was how they knew about him trying to get Krogan support. I may have mixed up some information though.

Or they could be planning the attack of Omega with Aria's fleet. I don't know as Big Boss said Montreal team is working on MP it's weird for them to release a teaser pic with Shepard, unless we get a SP DLC connected to the MP that has been speculated should launch this month.
Omega 4 relay and Collectors? Hmm...

A while back I brought up EDI as my prime suspect, but there was little speculation going on at the time. The incident with Dr. Eva must occur before you can meet with the diplomats. And it's the very next mission that Cerberus interferes. Someone suggested that the whole inside man storyline was dropped, because it was never mentioned again. It's very curious though, because that was the mission they allowed people to play in the demo. In my book, the only person with motive (Dr. Eva could have still been inside the body), plot coherence (happens immediately before the mission) and has the information to give would be EDI. It would also give relevance to why she had to get the body. This could be revealed in a future dlc as evidence that the Control option does not actually work.
