Mr. Casey, you have done it again. That's frakking brilliant. Why didn't any of us put that together sooner?

Sanctuary was a trap, the Reapers negotiating peace with world leaders was a trap, what the Reapers do in camps in the codex is a trap...

And what do they do at Sanctuary? They test control by turning people into husks. And not exactly related, but since we're on that topic: What are good examples of tech combined with organics? And yet the synthetics which always maintain their individuality and isolation from organics, the geth, turn out to become unlikely allies

I agree, I doubt they would go with synthesis just like that for another future game, the flaming would be unprecedented, but the discussion on 'natural synthesis' just got the leetle grey cells working Posted Image

I never heard about that cut geth prime dialogue! That's an awesome little bit of info, thanks for sharing! It really shows how synthesis is about working together to build an understanding between organics and synthetics, and to a certain point shows how evolution of this sort is EARNED, and how using space amgic to develop such an understanding is unworthy of both organics and synthetics

Actually Poirot, I have a video of it. I altered the Prime's voice pitch to test a hunch and discovered something pretty cool. You'll notice it as soon as the video starts. Posted Image

I was referring to Bill, but I have to give praise to Mr. Hudson for crafting a game with so many layers.

WHY DID THEY CUT THAT DIALOGUE??!! ASDJKJGFHFGGGGGDFASIYG!! Posted Image

Also, I see your point with the video, but is it possible they simply used the one geth voice actor they had for convenience, because 'nobody' would notice once the pitch was altered?

I think Legion does a great Geth voice, so I can see why they did that. I like it. But all of the combat dialogue is what's really interesting in there. Freaking combat dialogue. You know, for combat. We didn't fight with any geth in the end... yet! Posted Image There is also one of Grunt, Jack, and Zaeed. If there was a lot of cut combat dialogue late enough in deveolpment to be recorded, I think we may yet see it in game. Why wouldn't they have put it in the extended cut? Also, your requested synthesis video:

Read dawiling's blog above about 'just machines' it really brilliantly expalins about 'software' and 'ahrdware' in this respect.

No, that's more like an example of a high-tech pacemaker. Unless you count pacemakers as synthesis. Posted Image

Not quite sure I requested that, but hilarious all the same... Posted Image

The combat dialogue is VERY Ainterestign though. Imagine if we could fight alongside whole unit and control them as we do squadmates? Or assign different races to different tasks a la ME2 suicide mission? So much wasted potential but so much they could still bring us!

(Continuing on my modular thoughts and ME3 ending being the crucible) Just shooting ideas. When I thought about the final final end project to ME3. If IT is true than at the end of ME3 there needs .... a catalyst to change the ending to ME3. Something whose presence changes the variables.

Here's the current situation. Harbinger blast Shepard. Shepard fights indoctrination while Harbinger is still around. Not a great situation. I always thought the Normandy would be the thing that hits Harbinger and allows Shepard to make it to the citadel, but the EC makes it clear the Normandy evacs.

Leviathan DLC (how they handled that soverign class reaper) gives us possible forshadowing to how Harbinger will be taken out... possibly. But the Leviathans are going to need cover. Omega and Arias mercenaries may be suicidal enough to give Leviathans their opening. The ending still won't be complete, there will need to be a third act DLC that  will introduce something that puts all the pieces together that takes out Harbinger.

Future prediction: watch for new MP DLC that introduces maps with the Leviathan orbs on MP missions. Or objectives that defend the orbs on Earth.

It makes perfect sense for what you said too. Jack's dialogue is about her "squad"; her students. Grunt is leading Aralakh Company in his. Zaeed could lead some mercs! The geth and quarians are obviously a group too. Maybe they were planning some meta-gaming for the end of ME3 like the suicide run! It makes me a bit depressed now though. "Send Rachni to this location, send Jack's biotic squad here" Stuff like that.

It seems like your plan is simple, let's aria's fleet distract the reapers while leviathan takes out Harbinger. This is a great idea but it seems like there isn't a missing piece...?Those multiplayer objectives would be just giving it away, cool.:D

IT fits perfectly. What is the end of ME3? A place or occasion of severe test or trial. A crucible. Check
Where is the end of ME3? 2.A place or occasion of severe test or trial. A crucible. Check

So, why is there any confusion? ME3 is the single greatest deception in video game history! The end has to be a test, regardless of whether they'll confirm IT. Why would you call a device a crucible if it wasn't a test?

Yeah it's a much shorter DLC cycle than ME2. Though, 6 months from now, Bioware will get that year-extension they wanted to properly finish the game... At least we have a timeline to go on now.
