Hi Banshee. How so?

Well, at least we have a timeline to go off of now. If IT isn't revealed in the next 6 months, it's kind of done. Hopes are high though. It's a short DLC cycle, which would fit IT not being revealed too late. It's also about 1 year since ME3, so that would be their extension. Omega looks huge and super important, which leaves one more DLC we know nothing about. Also, ITers predicted Omega for 4Q of 2012.
Priestly denied it.
ITers predict "Project X", the last DLC (I doubt that would actually be its name) for 1Q of 2013.
Priestly denied it.
Bioware announced Omega for 4Q of 2012 and the last ME3 DLC for 1Q 2013.

Banshee!

Hey Byne! Long time. It's lunchtime right now at school. The new RvB was awesome. The pieces are falling together, and I'm noticing many similarities with the only other thing I can speculate about...

When the AIs went crazy it was pretty disturbing.

Also, the return of Doc and Donut was awesome!

Yes, and Lopez! Now we have the whole team assembled, and they can all go on the suicide run!

Was wondering if we would gain more insight on the indoctrinated with the Leviathan DLC. From the outside looking in, it seems the reapers really take your body apart and repurpose it to their own ends. Nothing of the original species is left....but then you think about mass effect 2 and the collector general showing genuine emotion right before the collector base is destroyed

From the indoctrinated possessing shreds of their former selves to object rho blatantly broadcasting it's intent to indoctrinate shepard, none of these things are really mentioned in me3. Which is as unfortunate as it is mind boggling

You're mixing up 2 things. The Collector General has been implanted with Reaper tech so that they could control him. With the control signal he retains his personality (or it'd seem so). On the other hand, genetic paste pumped through the tubes into the human Reaper has no thoughts, personality or any other form of consciousness more than does soup on your table. Sorry, this is the way it is.

I don't know, Legion did talk about numerous conjoined minds inside Sovereign. He never made it clear whether they were the original minds of those reaped, or created Reaper sub-programs.

@Denedio1 - I also would have been interested in learning more about how the Reapers tick, but then you run the risk of diminishing their mystery - especially if it turns out that they're just stuck in some logic loop. Oh wait...

How lovely, the predictions are on track with what actually happens. Surely this has to be a coincidence. (that was a sarcastic remark) I do hope that the third DLC will be the biggest of them all.

To be fair, everyone and their grandmother knew Omega was coming. As for "Project X", one dude who makes IT videos who claims to know a dude in the know is not a "prediction". It's an unsubstantiated rumor. Casey Hudson himself said the DLC cycle would be one year which, even considering the EC, they are looking to meet.

1. We do, because that's what was placed in the unused line in the Leviathan files. Here are the lines.

Who is OLD TONGUE NAME OF HARBINGER?
The first Reaper. In this cycle, amongst your kind, it is known as Harbinger.

3. Like I said, it's not so much the name, but that Shepard doesn't know the name belongs to Harbinger and specifically asks the Catalyst who that is only to be told it IS Harbinger. And if we go by the lines, Shepard doesn't even know that this old name is the first reaper, possibly unaware that it's even a reaper! That's a pretty big realization to come to at the end of the game when two of the choices you have ultimately side with the reapers. Not to mention anyone that's had to suffer through all of Harbinger's insults would immediately call bull on the Catalyst's "good intentions", which is, I'm assuming, why they may have left it out. ;)

Edit: I'm also extremely curious as to what Leviathan was initially supposed to say about the reapers and Harbinger. Especially without Shepard catching on that it's Harbinger the Leviathans are talking about.

This exactly. Very good point indeed, and I was going to bring it up myself. The point isn't that we learn Harby's name, it's that some mysterious entity mentioned by the leviathans is actually Harbinger. What if...

Posted Image

What if the old tongue name is the name of the intelligence, and at the end we find out the intelligence is Harbinger?! Whoa!

Anyway, I have to go now.

Those lines aren't necessarily in order. I've seen that leaked dialogue list which appears to me to be one sided for the majority of the lines and a bit scattered.
There are no other two new lines in that specific file that mention Harbinger directly. They're not the only unused lines either, after rereading the leaks and rewatching both the DLC and the Ending with Leviathan. They completely rewrote and combined two of the lines while leaving out the rest. Harbinger is only ever mentioned once, MAYBE twice. I write more on this down below.
Ace7 wrote...

I don't understand what you mean.

plfranke explained it best before i could
plfranke wrote...
Shepard asked "Who is *insert name*" Leviathan would have had to of said something important about *insert name* for Shepard to ask. This begs the question of what was the importance, why didn't Leviathan just say it was Harbinger, and of course how does it affect Harbinger's role in the story, as at some point he will without a doubt become more involved.
They not only changed that entire part in both the ending and the dlc to remove using Harbinger's old name completely, they completely rewrote it (Leviathan: From our essence, the first reaper was created. You call it Harbinger.). It effectively takes the focus OFF Harbinger in the ending because things you were meant to learn from the Catalyst and were initially able to ask about were moved to the conversation with Leviathan.

At least by sparing her in mass effect 2 she got to see the universe the way she always wanted to in me3. A reunion with her sisters and a cure would have been awesome though..

And the Marauder Shields comics are excellent.

I don't know, Legion did talk about numerous conjoined minds inside Sovereign. He never made it clear whether they were the original minds of those reaped, or created Reaper sub-programs.

*snip*

If anything, the minds Legion mentioned could only be formed within Sovereign as blank slates. They did not contain the victims' memories or experiences.

So what IT clues do you guys think we might get in Omega?

I'm wondering if Shepard will get a pointed lecture from the mad Batarian prophet. Something along the lines of "Choose not the paths of vanity or compromise. Choose the right path!"

I really, really hope the preacher makes an appearance.

Apart from that there's finding out just what was so important about a mining station probably built in this cycle that TIM invaded it.
