Heh, thinking about it. When I was younger I wanted to be a Fireman as well. Again with the Asthma!

Its probably why I'm drawn to heroic storytelling. Lets me live the fantasy for a while.

That is also my draw in games and stories, letting me live the fantasy, but I am taking it one step further.

I dont just want to read, watch or play the epic story, I want to write and design it. This is reflected in my hobby which is writing Fantasy and some Sci-fi stories and I am currenly studying Interactive and Experience Technology on SDU, Sourthern Danish University. My goal is too move tahat into some Game Design.

In many ways this entire discussion about IT and Mass Effect is a lesson for the future to me, examples of what to do and what not.

Uh, wow. Switch the names around, and I could have written this because it all applies to me as well. We even have the same attitude towards the discussion of IT and Mass Effect.

Interesting... Where was this? I've got a job offer from BAE Systems and I never had to go through all that...

Consider for a moment how Shepard becomes a Reaper intelligence when he/she chooses Control, literally becoming the monster that he/she had been fighting. Consider how Synthesis makes people more like Reapers and their minions.

Thanks for this whole post. It's yet more symbolism about those two choices.

Basically the only thing in favour  of either of them (to me) is the cutscene not showing the reapers killing everyone.

Could you provide me with some internal information regarding the fusion of BAE and EADS?

I thought of that to. When Shepard is talking to the Catalyst about Control, the Catalyst acknowledges that Shepard may use the Reapers at his will.

So when chosing control, Shepard is going to be the new and improved Harbinger?

Not nice. I suppose they're trying to protect themselves against infiltration from enemy forces and happen to be overzealous about it.

More likely its protection from corporations who might steal the research for their own products.

That's cool. Posted Image GameDev is so much more rewarding than other forms of software development.

That too. After all, corporate espionage could drive them out of business if not prevented.

Thank you kindly, BlUr!
What's also interesting about the three aspects used by leviathan is that they were ALL people Leviathan enthralled directly in front of Shepard. Why specifically pull only those three if it has access and control of Shepard's mind? Make of that what you will.

You could get a job with the fire service fine but I doubt asthmatics could do the actual 'bursting into burning houses' thing because of health and safety.

Honestly not getting into the Fire Brigade due to asthma is fair enough. It would be like a blind guy trying to be a truck driver.

Using people from ME1, whom most players might have forgotten about, wouldn't have the same impact as showing people Shepard's just met.

Try going into business or IT. Requires some practice to do it right but with time you can master it. And unless you're dealing with dusty bills, it shouldn't be harmful.

They could've used squadmembers or someone else that even people who've only played three would consider more important than the scientist thy met an hour ago.

I suppose Leviathan can only take forms of people he enthralled.

Btw, why wasn't Dr Bryson enthralled at all?

Things still open for debate:
Why does anderson keep repeating that he's from london (two times via vidcom and one time on the evac shuttle with coats...followed by a very strange facial expression)

Was tim n kronos station right before you arrived? (cigarette butts in front of the last video console)
