Interesting. Non-IT, but if you don't meet Wrex before taking on Fistt in Chora's Den and you don't kill him then Wrex never appears in C-Sec. Does that mean I can't recruit him, or get him killed on Virmire? Does he appear in ME2 or is it Wreav?

Guess I'll find out.

Are you still on the Citadel? Because pretty much the same thing happened with Garrus for me, but he stopped me before I could get to the Normandy and asked to join the crew. I was soooo worried until then though Posted Image

I really do not understand your hate for some of the MP weapons Posted Image I only have the Argus I, in a kit not fully uprgraded for weapon damage, and it decimates people!

What would you rather I do? Use a Harrier/Piranha in every kit? Use them only in the few so called good kits? How boring. How many Harriers do I have equipped? One. Piranhas? One. Most other guns? One. I'm pretty sure all of my double ups are sidearms, actually.

I use every kit, have every weapon equipped in at least one place, and I use and love all of them.

A single bullet from a Saber I does more damage than a full burst from an Argus X. The Saber I has a 30% cooldown difference from an Argus X. It does too little damage to warrant the large recoil and heavy weight. Sure, variety of weapons are great, but certain ones are simply redundant or flat out inferior pending buffs/tweaks.

If you don't recruit Wrex, Wreav becomes head of Clan Urdnot and the narrative is vague on Wrex's status. However, I could've sworn that he appears by the dock elevator in C-Sec, regardless.

Hopefully. I want to kill him off so I can experience Wreav.

Sounds wrong, I know. But I want to see the different conversations and have a good reason to betray the Krogan in this playthrough.

What the hell are you using it on, bronze?  It weighs as much as the PPR, it kicks as bad as the saber, and yet even its theoretically DPS is lower than a phalanx.  A GODDAMN PHALANX.  Except unlike a phalanx, you're not getting consistant headshots (if ANY) because of the anus' absurd recoil.  So in practice an uncommon pistol that almost no one bothers with significantly out damages it.

He does.  People think all the aliens except Liara are skippable in ME1 but I'm not sure any of them are.  I know Tali isn't.  You have the option to turn her down but Udina just overrules you and says "take her anyway".

Garrus is skippable. If you don't recruit him then he's a bit colder in ME2 when you do meet him.

Not that you'd want to. Garrus is awesome, and there's no reason not to take him.

Indeed.  Garrus is the man.

The third alternative seems the most sensible. He has no emotions. Logic is what drives his motives and behavior. The first two are labels describing how humans might perceive him. But he's not a human. Those descriptions are only superficially assigned by the describing agents.

A reaper in disguise, using the child only Shepard acknowledged and saw die in order to appeal to Shepard's sympathies to divert attention from the correct choice toward the two choices deemed most acceptable to them.

I disagree on both points.

He definately has a smugness in some of his sentences, and gets angry if you don't do what he wants.  And his logic is circular and flawed.

Well, yeah, but those emotions are logical reactions to the events. And his logic isn't circular. He may not see the best solution but what the Reapers basically do is taking a snapshot of the whole Galaxy every 50,000 years (this is a kind of preservation).

We know it exists in some form from Leviathan, though they call it "the Intelligence." At least, I don't think he ever calls it "the Catalyst"

It's because most of the posters are also frequently posting here. The lockdown message even has a link to the IT thread.

Cthulhu claims they created an AI.  That AI made the Reapers.  Supposedly.  It's only assumed that the catalyst is that AI.  It isn't a definite.  It's entirely possible that there was no initial AI and the Leviathans aren't really at odds with the Reapers as they claim.  They're shifty, they're clearly lying about not knowing anything about the crucible, the whole thing stinks.  Besides Paxxton, who actually trusts Cthulhu?!

The term "Catalyst" comes from the Protheans, the Leviathan would doubtly have ever heard of that word.

The claims of Leviathan seem on the level to me, mostly because of their hostile offer to help at the end of the confrontation. Then again I've only seen the whole mind-conversaation through once.

I don't believe all he says. I'm leaning towards a connection between them and Harbinger, at least the "spirit" of their arrogant species, inclined towards slavery and control, but also viewing their survival at stake.

See, you're doing the whole "this gun is mathematically better therefore I shouldn't use some others". I use stuff because they're cool or fun, but mostly because they fit the character I'm using. And for the record, when playing with randoms I play mostly silver and some gold, and when playing with people, almost always gold. I've used all my kits in gold at one point or another.

I'd never use a Saber in, say, a Geth, Batarian, or Asari kit, as they wouldn't be seen using one. Actually, most of my kits are characters, so they use what's appropriate to said character. Sure, you can choose what characters use what guns, but you'd be hard pressed to argue againt Legion using a GPR and a Widow. So, my GI is Legion coloured and uses those weapons, with the powers spec'd to being a sniper.

The only non named character kit I have is my FHI, who has just a Raptor and is a Nemesis Posted Image All my N7 characters are full N7 colours with N7 weapons. My PV has just a Falcon and is The Meta from Red vs Blue, my only non-ME character. Etc.

Basically, our difference is while you focus on gameplay, I focus on roleplay.
