I got to the camp and downloaded the warden's keep DLC. I chose it from the world map and then it just sat there stuck trying to load. I tried to quit the game but then the PS3 restarted. Now it doesn't even recognize my disc as being inserted. Any help out there?

Check that. It killed my disc player. None of my games or movies are recognized now. Has anyone had this before?

This is serious and if this kind of problem comes up again. Bioware and EA will have their hands full with law suits for destroying consoles not excluding the emotional distress caused by a buggy game.

You can't be 100% sure it was WK that caused the problem. I had this happen to me once while playing Civilization:Revolution. It wasn't the game's fault, my PS3 just chose that moment to die on me. Don't be so quick to blame the software. It's purely a hardware issue.

how old is your PS3? is it still under warrantee? If so contact sony and have them replace it or fix it. I can say with certainty that this is not a DAO specific problem. Though admitedly the poor coding of this game may hav been a significant contributing factor here. But with that said, if you system is older and like most, extreamly well used. Its purely a hardware failure and would of happened reguardless of what game you happen to be playing at the time. My advice, contact Sony and see what they can do for you before you start tossing the law suit flag around all willy nilly.

this happened to me while playing far cry 2, it's a hardware failure plain and simple, it would've happened no matter what you were playing/watching.

This can happen all the time, hardware fails just like that. But more often drives just wear out, i could anytime buy a new drive, for like 25€ or what it is nowadays.

I dont know the PS3, but I had the same on the xbox-version. After a gaming session, the drive didnt recognize any of my other discs. It didnt even start up. A strange noise inside, but no rpm-noise. I dont know why, but after several "on-off-inserting disc-ejecting disc" actions it finally worked again as before. Now Ill end every DAO-game by ejecting the disc(the game will end and the xbox returns to dashboard by ejecting an inserted discs). Wish you luck. There seems to be s.th. wrong with the disc. Im not sure, but it never happened before. Thats all what I know.
