ME - 85 clunky inventory system, though I liked the Mako the maps were uninspired...
ME2 - 90 introduced some of the best characters in the series, great character development, improved the combat immensely though sometimes at the expense of RPG elements.
ME3 - 70 w/EC and I feel like I'm being generous, terrible plot (expect two excellent priority missions), fetch quests and disappointing side quests, the worst squad in the series, improved combat but nothing revolutionary, auto-dialogue, Cerberus and TIM take stupid pills, Kai Leng, choices carry no weight, disappointing endings...

I'm assuming you're not averaging considering that "95" there.

cannot average them that way.

edit: the last game is all three together as one big game. I feel we lose out if not doing all three with all DLCs as well.

maybe.. lol the game (to me) is better if we get all the data we can find, especially the endgame.

ME1=85
-The good: The overarching plot, some fantastic settings, especially the scenery. Great cast of characters
-The bad: Some inconsistent pacing, such as sidequest detracting (or even derailing) from the main plot. Texture pop-in (on Xbox at least). Cannot level up to level 60 in one playthrough, Charm/Intimidate talents included with combat talents, no respec option means you have to plan your build carefully.
-The iffy: Combat was fresh (to me at least who is used to standard shooters), but fails to hold up well over time. Some difficulty spikes. Tech powers underwhelming. Some classes clearly better than others, especially with certain bonus powers (such as Vanguard with Singularity better than Adept). Cookie-cutter buildings. The Mako (I liked it, hated Nodacrux). Asari can mate with everyone.

ME2=95
The good: The beginning. Vastly improved combat mechanics. Varied weapon set. Tech powers can hang with biotics. Signature powers allows for more unique classes. Ability to respec powers allows you to experiment with different builds and playstyles without starting a new game. Larger cast of squadmates. A closer look at the universe established in ME1. The Suicide Mission. The music.
-The bad: Some power bugs (mostly biotics and some tech powers). Some powers not well designed or implemented, such as Concussive Shot. Some guns sucked, like the Avenger.
-The iffy: Some squadmate overlap; some squadmates better than others (Grunt sucks). The plot is a step down from ME1. Planet scanning (I don't hate it, but it takes too long).

ME3=90
-The good: Great plot. Fewer characters allows for greater characterization, better storytelling. Autodialogue (I like it) allows for greater storytelling. Great level design. Fun multiplayer. No longer need to spend points in a power to unlock another power.
-The bad: The ending of course. Combat mechanics were a step backwards from ME2.
-The iffy: Weapon levelling. Cannot reach level 60 in one playthrough without an import, but that also does not matter since you have too many points to spend anyway (you can max all but 1 power by 57).

Not close to perfect though, imo. The series is pretty flawed.

me3 = 12 (?) Didn't finish the game (for numerous reasons). Been packed up since March 8th. Only saw the endings and the EC via YouTube.

That's your opinion.  It's just that someone's final score for the whole series does not necessarily have to be the average of the scores they give to the three individual games.

Yep. Mass Effect 3 is my favorite in the trilogy. Guess I'm not a real fan of the series anymore.
