ME2: 65 (Pointless story and CoD gameplay but overall the most polished of the three and definitely worth playing)
ME3: 80 (The same CoD gameplay but an amazing story, feels extremely rushed, could be a 95+ if released in 2013)

I like ME3 and all, but there's too many problems in it for it to hold the same joy that the predecessors have. ME1 is my absolute favorite, but ME2 is still with it for all of its specialties.

ME2: 95 (Second Opinion: 80)
ME3: 95 (Second Opinion: 90)
Each of the games really got worse as time went on. I loved ME1 so much when I first played it because I skipped all of the side missions, and I was a lot younger, so the dialogue didn't seem so corny. Now I can't even stand to play it anymore. Too repetative.
ME2 was MUCH better. Same problem over time though. Felt too repetative.
ME3 is my favorite. It's just the most fun to play. And the dialogue seems like legitimate conversations that people would have. Add in the better graphics, the multiplayer, and the combat that wasn't completely busted (like ME1), and you've got a good game.

ME2: 98 (Bash me all you want but ME2 was the game that got me interested in the Mass Effect universe. Sure the story was less about the Reapers and more episodic but that's why I loved it. I was fully immersed in a breathing, living galaxy while not exactly rushing against time to fight the big baddie. I met 12 fantastic squadmates each with unique if a little cliched personalities and I loved it. The combat was vast improvement and the ending was up there alongside the Top gaming moments for me.)
ME3 - 90 (God the music was good in this one. A good score alongside a great cinematic experience can generally make up a lot for me. That said, even while the game was great, it felt bogged down by a linear structure in which it was pretty much cutscene--->combat--->cutscene. The gane became a shooting gallery with 2 hub (Normandy and the Citadel). The story was just unsurprising and pretty boring. I hated how there was NO setup for the Crucible from previous game and the god-awful Catalyst. However as I watched the EC, I was satisfied. Was this how I would have ended Shepard's story? Not really but what is done is done and I can't change the destination. But as I sat there all I can think was "God damn that was a fine journey" as Ashley gently places my Shepard's plaque onto the memorial wall.
So overall, I will give the Mass Effect Trilogy a 91 out of 100. It's a damn good trilogy of which I am glad to have played despite the mentioned flaws. I was entertained, challenged, and happy. What more can I ask?

Point taken off for some of the glitches and mountain issues, but those are very minor issues. I love the Mako and planet exploration, the numerous side quests, the discovery of Prothean beacons, learning of Indoctrination, tracking Saren, the feel of being a Council agent, discovering the Reapers, and the combat is hated on but I love it.
ME2: 95
Only thing I didn't like is that the focus was on building your team. It was like going to the grocery store for 6 hours to make a quick dinner. It was character-driven, and still amazing.
ME3: 86
Hate the auto-dialogue, meaningless war assets, lack of character development (especially not getting my ME2 squadmembers even when they're loyal), the Crucible, and control system of a-button does everything (which wasn't an issue in ME2 but now is because of worthless combat rolls). However, it has amazing moments (curing Genophage, resolving the quarian/geth war, Thane saving the Councilor, etc.) , let's me go places I've always wanted too, and multiplayer is pretty fun.

ME2: 99. Probably my favorite game period. When I beat it the first time I bought ME1 right after wards and then played through both of them 3 more times
ME3: 70. The ending was awful. Too many auto dialogue/fetch quests. Still had a really good story right up until the end though, makes the 2 previous games kind of hard to play through again.

ME1: 99
ME2: 60
ME3: -1,000,000,000,000 (0's repeated infinitely)
Actual attempt to evaluate them? Er...
ME1: 85-90 (Bioware has done some things better before (combat, dialogue trees (this one's simpler)), but I give this a lot of points for the really awesome, detailed universe that I love so much, and the several issues it brings up.)
ME2: 75-85 (The world becomes much more tiny, the combat/RPG level ups become extremely dull, no exploration, no big Reaper problem focused on (or a clear, detailed storyline), not a lot of new things learned about/added to, and missions are a lot less fun/interesting to me. It's still got decent writing and some great character stuff, but it really felt like Bioware didn't know what to do, and a lot is taken away. Good game, but I felt it was (overall) very frustrating and a regression.)
ME3: 50-60 (Average/mediocre game that more than once felt like an Independence Day-styled plot and universe. A lot of the emotional moments fell flat or just reminded me how much more I liked the previous games (I did like ME2), and somehow they shrunk the world to be even smaller and more empty. "Empty" pretty much describes the game experience, for me. This isn't a well done RPG, it takes away agency and choice of both conversation and action, and fails to be anything about or like ME1 or 2 in the way it should be, and more than once it felt like the characters I knew weren't "themselves." This may as well be a different game, to me.)
I'm considering other Bioware games when I rate 'em, here, and what my hopes/expectations from a Bioware game is.

- Pro: Great story, great universe, intresting unconventional plot and antagonist, great exploration
- Con: Bad vehicle physics, slightly samey class behaviour
ME2: 96 (with DLC)
- Pro: Combat flows much better, great sights arround the universe, great characters, introduced the interupt mechanic, amazing DLC missions, sense of victory and foreshadowing of the things to come
- Con: linierity, and dull resource gathering
ME3: 45
- Pro: graphics are nice, weapon SFX are more viceral, omni-blade is fun, some genuinely good moments (what few there were)
- Con: Shifted focus from story to all combat, bad side missions, auto-dialogue, the fact that shooter mode exists, fewer squad mates, bad soundtrack, felt the need to indulge newbs who had just jumped in 2/3rds the way through, exceptionally short, fetch quests, butchered journal system, EMS makes no difference, false advertising, initially identical endings, required an extended cut to even make endings not horrible, still more linier than before, multiplayer assets recycled in singleplayer, shifting the focus of the story at the last possible moment, promised 5 hubs taken to 1, and I could go on all bloody night.
- Mega con: putrid waste of potential

People are just voting it down because of that whole ending thing, instead of rating the game as a whole. If you think about it in terms of a trilogy, ME3 was the end of it, not that last 5 minutes or so.

Even tough ME3 had a lot of flaws, it was a incredible experience. ME3 was so emotional. I cried during my playtrough, not to mention the EC.

Maybe, the ending subtracts from the game as a whole along with other flaws.
And? The final game is the end? Your grasp of the obvious is inspiring.

EDIT: Note that these numbers do not conform to the inflation that the scale has suffered in "pro" review publications - a value of 50 should be "good", "up to scratch", "passable", as far as I am concerned...

What I mean by that is all these reviews on the internet solely base their review of the game around the last 5 minutes, and nothing else. Most of them that I've seen. Someone didn't like the last 5 minutes or so, this game gets a 3/10 without actually looking at the other parts of the game. Same thing as these reviewers who didn't like one thing about a particular product, but give it a really low score (eg. 1/5 or 2/5).
From a performance standpoint, ME3 is pretty solid. Fluid gameplay, no stuttering, and almost no crash to desktop errors. Skyrim was riddled with this stuff, yet people still gave it a 95/100 or so.
