Just finished my distraction at the Chantry for Anders and when we left we were ported back to the clinic - after our discussion there I got the message that the quest "Justice" was completed and also that I recieved the item Renegades Coat (or Cloak perhaps) - however I do not find this item in any category in my inventory - anyone know whats up with this? Will I get it later? Is it a bug? Or di the item perhaps go directly to Anders (he is not in the party atm) Posted Image

(NOTE: NO PLOT SPOILERS PLEASE! I have not moved beyond this point in the game before) Posted Image

It means from that point out he's wearing a new outfit. The feathers on his coat turn black.

Ahhh....

Apparently Anders coat also loses all its runes so you have to collect them again

Maybe thats why he got so squishy during the final battle sequence tonight - eventually i swapped him out for Bethany at the gallows...Posted Image

Well since my father, sister and lover were all mages I couldn't see my way clear to do anything else Posted Image

I was a little surprised how fast I ended up taking Fenris down when the time came tho - but then I was an accomplished assasin...Posted Image

Ooo you romanced Anders ? Or Merril ?

I romanced Anders on my FemHawke. He may be a bit insane but he is so sweet! <3

Merril was my lady love and your comment that I sided with the mages got me thinking that I have always sided with the mages - I have never started a single character that has not acted on behalf of mages (and I started a lot of them even tho I have only finished one LOL).

Part of the reason for that is in fact that the characters father and sister were mages so I always kind of felt thats the way I should go but now I have started a new character - female warrior - who is going to go two handed templar/reaver and side with the templars!

In fact the plan at the moment is to keep mages out of her group altogether as much as possible - she has already set Bethany aside (which made the Saemus battle a little difficult with only Varric & Aveline & dog) but I'm about to open Fenris quest so I'll get back to a group of 4 soon.

It will be interesting to see what sort of options she discovers and the RP part of the game should play quite differently for me. Posted Image

I did one playthrough siding with Templars. Was painful to me, it felt so wrong!!! There is a fun surprise at the end though so if you stick with it you will get something new :)

Too bad Cullen is not a love interest. He would have been the perfect partner for my templar friendly warrior. Besides Anders he is the cuttest!

PS: Fights at the end are a lot harder if you side with templars, IMHO so make sure your party is properly geared and levelled. You killed the Arishok on one on one so you should be fine but make sure you get tons of upgrades ^^
