That said, my current Destroyer carries the Harrier as his primary weapon (since I finally unlocked it!). Playing U/U/G, I much prefer to have a long range weapon on me as my primary, with the Pirahna as a backup for specific situations, like melting bosses, storming spawns or running out of ammo on the Harrier.
It still has that very new and shiny feel to it though. I'd say another week or more to see what the data says about it's use. Do I see one in almost every match because it's new and effective, or simply because it's highly effective?
Oh, and as for the TSold, I can't hit the broad side of the barn when I try and use the Pirahna on him. Logically I understand how tight the pellet spread is. I know it's better to hip aim with that reticule. And I still really struggle on him with it. The Destroyer's spread on it is the sweet spot for me. Effective enough at medium range, vicious at short range.

what they continue to fail to understand is that theis nerfs just make that much harder for them to do well and most importantly, we all get the same dam exp and creidits as everyone else on the squad as long as you were in the match for the same amount of time nomater how much or little you killed in the 11 waves
now stop complaning that you suck compared to other people and getting bioware to ruin the game for other people
this isnt pvp, score and kills ultimately dont matter to how many credits or exp you get, it doesnt matter who kills what as long as its dead
your only saping the fun from other players by selfishly demanding bioware and EA to nerf weapons and classes so other people cant play the way they like to just because you and a few other players dont people playing that way

A game without balance isn't a fun, it's a slaughter fest. Think of how fun Pokemon would be if all your pokemon started at lvl 100, or Fallout with unlimited mini-nukes. If you don't like balance, then cheat and stick to singleplayer or play with other friends. Otherwise, people generally don't like to play games that are rediculously easy for long or else everyone would be playing bronze where they are great with any character instead of the flock of players playing Platinum and gold.

I was saying that there needs to be general balance for the game to be fun. Didn't say anything about the Piranha being op, needing a nerf, or any ability/class/gun being op. I just find people that say "It's a co-op game, there doesn't need to be balance" rather silly.

That is your opinion, and it is much like religion: You are entitled to having your own, but forcing it on others is fukkin annoying.

There's a really easy really objective way to test it.
Make a private server with only you in it.
Pick the piranha with shredder and barrel. No amps, no gear.
Pick platinum reapers.
Have fun trying to kill banshees in under two minutes.
Still think it's overpowered?

I really don't have the time to go through all your posts, I'll take your word for it. But your post leads to this assumption being on a nerf topic and all. As for balance, I really don't see the point of all the nerfs from Bioware to be honest. Most of the weapons are useless now..
I just want to blow some enemies up with my friends, what is so wrong with that? This isn't a competitive multiplayer game where people will get pissed being killed by OP guns.

However, that doesn't change the fact that you are advocating a nerf on a gun that on the largest taget possible on fairly close range performs equally to a common assault rifle. Only the only problem here is that if the target is smaller, which quite a few of them are, as you took the largest unit in the game for your bench mark, that common assault rifle will pull significantly ahead.
Yes, nerfing the Piranha makes perfect sense.

You get Tsols with Piranhas in all your lobbies too? I constantly get beaten, and end up at the bottom on the scoreboard to them. And often by people that are much less experienced than i am.
Except, i have yet to see a Tsol use it - in fact, the last time i a Tsol in any game was when i decided to play one for laughs with my reverant X several months ago, because the class sucks overall. Noone plays it.
Perhaps being good with the Piranha would bring it back to the game?

Five shots? I doubt that, I've never seen the Piranha that accurate on my uses.
To be honest, I haven't tried it out with Marksman and skills that improve accuracy, only with smart choke.
If that claim is true, it's not quite a Piranha issue but a dedicated build that uses the gun's strengths and (over) emphasizes on them.
As a 'normal' user of this shotgun I can say that it works as intended: Powerful at short range, so-so medium range, useless in the second picture.
I'd rather have nerfers concentrate on the skillset that makes things OP than on the things people have fun to use.
TL;DR: Not Piranha is OP, Marksman and Accuracy is OP
Suggestion: Make skills have no effect on pellet spread.

Balance, both sides being equal, in this case, the enemies vs the players. Without balance, either the players would plow through the enemies like a lawnmower through a field of flowers, or the enemies would tear through the players like tissue paper. Niether is fun and niether is a good thing in any sort of game, including co-op wich adds another layer to balance, partners.
As it is now, the game is fairly balanced for those that want to have fun and be stronger than one side by playing bronze, and the others that are either better at the game or just want a harder challenge can player higher and higher difficulties until they are having fun. In this way, no playstyle is forced on anyone unless they limit themselves to a certain dificulty.
I could go on and on about this, but I think you get the idea. Want to be stronger than the enemy? Play Bronze. Want to fight enemies that are far superior to you? Play Platinum. Want to play with powerful weapons and skills? Play single player. Want to play at a balanced level? Figure out your capabilities and play in that range of dificulty.

I rock the Krysae on Platinum very effectively. It is not useless. Falcon is similar, but I just seem to go through it's ammo too fast, so I use the Krysae instead. Want to tear through things easily? Stick to a lower difficulty. I know when I just feel like blowing the hell out of enemies, I slip back down to bronze or silver for a while.
