hmm, I honestly don't know what to think about Liara's appearance. Maybe it's this particular screenshot, but the armour doesn't seem as detailed as I would have expected. Maybe I'm just used to smartek's version (her upper chest plate is very sharp and detailed for his), or maybe it's something else.
Jean, you're known for super detail in character models, but I'm just not seeing it very well for Liara.
Jean Luc's looks more like the original texture than Smartek's Liara does. His has outlines and highlights where the texture pattern he uses repeats. Honestly, those things bother me about it. I'm fond of Smartek's works, especially now that he's doing normal maps. but I actually think the Liara here looks better. Her breasts look bigger because of the screenshot. The lighting on Mars is doing that. Though I prefer Smartek's EDI. In an odd reversal, Jean-Luc's has outlines that don't look as good though Smartek took a lot of artistic license with EDI. Probably went a little crazy with the lights, but I think it looks good.
Also, pulling Miranda's normal map from Jean-Luc's mod, it's in the DXT3 format. The game engine actually uses the Signed 16-bit V8U8 format for normal maps. Photoshop unfortunately doesn't handle the format correctly, and the darkened green and red channels in the normal map only works around the problem of the seam appearing in the normal map. Using the DirectX SDK allows you to bypass these issues and code the file in the correct format skipping a lot of steps and troubleshooting.
Just something we learned recently in the other modding thread. I'm redoing all the normal maps on my mods as a result of this discovery, and it's worked out very well. It also has allowed me to use entirely new normal maps where it isn't necessary to retain the original normal map data and attain higher quality than before.

There's also a high-res one for male-shep here: Shepard Combat Fatigues It's the InBleedingRapture one you were looking for. It's important to note, however, that during the beginning scene where Anderson and Shepard are injured it pulls different (bloody damaged looking) textures for Shepard because it's a different texture set. Just for that scene, though.
You're right, though-- still need a femshep one.
I'll give that one a look in game. I can deal with a minor swap to the bloodied set. Must have missed it in that thread. Just too many pages to go thru. I had found another one but man it wasn't very good looking. Adding the carbon fiber look to everything is getting old.
In my mod
post, I actually have a version where I took IBR's texture, added a normal map to it and then I created a damaged texture to go with it so that it would be complete. Unfortunately, it is for MaleShepard only.

As for Smarteck's N7 armour, I can't stand it. (No offence to him.) Call it artistic differences. I like the smoothness of the in-game model, Smarteck adds a ton of excessive bump mapping to it, ruins the N7 logo, and discolours the chestplate (twotoned colour pattern, drawing unnecessary attention to the breasts -- particularly unsettling on BroShep). I pointed this out on Smarteck's thread, so this actually feels like double-posting to me. I love him for making it, but it's just not to my tastes so I don't use it.
I created a version of that armor which corrected the problems I had with his version. Namely the carbon fiber pattern that he used and the over abundance of bump mapping. I also went back and did some work on the logo.
