As a note, Garrus_Revised, Jacob_Revised, Miranda_Final, and Legion_Final on the first page (Mass Effect 2) are all broken links. In fact, almost every link originating from Game Front is fully broken now; I mentioned something to that effect a few months ago, I think (it's new years eve and I've had a bit to drink), just surprised it was never corrected.

Sadly no. As fate would have it, I've been rather sick for the past week. I've barely been eating, much less doing texture work. Sorry folks.Didact2401 wrote...

Good news for anyone wanting to mod Mass Effect 2. I've cracked the ME2 pcc file format so we can now repack the ME2 pccs with new data. A couple of pictures for proof:
1. Replacing pcc stored textures in EntryMenu.pcc. The splash background and the ME2 logo have been changed.
2. Replacing and upscaling archive stored textures in BioH_Vixen_00.pcc. As if you don't know, that's Miranda's ass in 4K.

OO where'd you see that? I've always wished we could use texture mods without the need for texmod's cons. Like nearly every other game ever made where you just put the files int he right folders.

From here
I'm one of the developers on ME3Explorer and I've now moved on to modding ME2 and ME1. I'll be able to release the texture modding tool for ME2 fairly soon and then I'll try and port it to ME1 as well.

Still alive, though I'm sorry to say that my motivation to continue to work on this project is currently just non-existent. It might be a while before I'm back.Didact2401 wrote...

Your mods are, as Red already said, on my go to list and are unparalleled in my opinion.
Thank you.
As many others I hope you'll return.

Stuff's really complicated and time intensive. Especially when you're dedicated as Jean-Luc is.Didact2401 wrote...
Not even the prospect of permanent texture replacement?

"Almost finished" is probably still a decent chunk of work.
There's an ebb and flow to wanting to work for hours and hours on a project (for free.) If our "perceptions" make it like an obligation and "work", it becomes even less desirable.
Personally I'm extremely appreciative for all the stuff we got, regardless of when or if new stuff comes out.

Jeanluc, you are a huge inspiration and I highly respect the skill it took and time you've spent making these texmods. You've never disappointed in terms of quality and consistently delivering it.

However, I also want to thank you for starting a Mass Effect texture modding movement through your work and it's influence. I think even if you never get back to the project, which I'm sure you will when you are ready, you have done more than anyone could ask for the modding community with your textures, the movement you have created, and the people you have inspired.
So thank you
