Since all of these neat new weapons abilities and such have been added to multiplayer that our dear Shep has no access to, I've been dreaming and scheming about possible ways to introduce these aspects of MP to SP
-This would probably be a coding nightmare, and so I really, truely doubt it'd happen, but it's nice to dream, amirite?
To get the abilities in, maybe, just maybe the character creation screen could have an additional page for powers, and rather than taking a specific set ofabilities for each class, allow the player to choose a set within their chosen class
I.E. a soldier could concievably give themselves, say:
ballistic blades
multifrag
fortification
concussive shot
one other I can't think of as of now
by extention, the sentinel would be given the option to trade fitness for shield mastery a-la paladin, same with infiltrator and sword mastery
and of course the variety of omni tool based melees (sorry, but the thought of Shepard melee'ing like a krogan is just too...I don't know, it just wouldn't work)
As for weapons, one of the upcoming DLC's that is floating around the rumor mill is centered around Omega. Upon retaking Omega, it could become what it was in ME2; a hub. Think the Citadel we have now, just...well, Omega.
Any and all thoughts regarding this would be wonderful. If you like it, spread it around, maybe eventually this will find its way to someone with the ear of someone able to make it happen
P.S. I have no idea if this would be more at home here, or in the Story forum. It'd be in the story, but it'd be affecting gameplay; giving us a signifigantly larger sandbox of powers and weapons in SP...
