As the title says, is there any place left where I can find/buy it? I checked Ebay, and apparently, everyone thinks that their copies are made of solid gold and want $100+ for them, and I don't think any Gamestop sill has it. I remember playing it when I was younger, and I never beat it, and I REALLY want to play it again. Also, is it as bad as Wikipedia says("Sound may sometimes become very quiet until the Xbox is reset. Often
experiences heavy lag during combat and short lag bursts out of combat.
May also experience freezing during gameplay not associated with
cutscenes. This is especially apparent in Anchorhead, Tatooine, where an
event-triggered bug causes the game to freeze whenever entering the
city, rendering the planet unable to be completed. Sound may cut in and
out during dialog. Enable Widescreen by setting resolution to 480p
within Xbox 360 Dashboard.") in which case, would I be better off finding an old Xbox somewhere? I'm also looking for the sequal, but that was made by someone else, so that's a different story.
Any Place Left to Buy KotOR?

Edit: Oh, for Xbox. Sorry, can't help you there.

I'm using my 360, I don't think I have any PC/laptops capable of running it. Yes, my computers are THAT bad, or at least for gaming, unless the specs are super low. The only games I know that run fine on the family computer are the Sims 3 and Zoo Tycoon.thematic wrote...
Steam.

The game is ten years old. Only the graphics requirement will give a five year old computer any trouble.
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
* Windows ME/98 128 MB RAM
* Windows XP/2000 256 MB RAM
* 1.0 GHz Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon processor
* 4 GB free hard disk space
* 32MB OpenGL 1.4 compatible video card with 32-bit color support and Hardware T&L
* DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card
* DirectX 9.0 (included)
* 4X CD-ROM drive
* Keyboard, Mouse

If you can run the Sims 3, you might be able to run SW: KotOR. SW: KotOR's requirements are lower. It's only $10 on Steam if you want to try. If you don't want to spend $10 to see if it works, the game is often heavily discounted during the big Steam sales. I think the next one is in December, so you'll be waiting a while.
If you do try the game on the PC and it doesn't work, you will have to buy an inexpensive graphics card ($50 or so) in order to run the game. This will require some technical knowledge of your computer, but it's not too difficult. And it's no more expensive than buying a first generation Xbox(which I read is a must for the console version).

If you want a physical PC copy, Amazon and eBay seem to have quite a few people selling them, even new ones. They're usually the European version for some reason, but I don't think there's any difference. I'm honestly kind of curious to know why there are so many new EU copies for sale in the US.

I bought "the Star Wars knights collection" at Wal-Mart for $20. It consisted of Kotor 1 and 2, but it was only for PC. If your computer is at least fairly modern, it should be able to run it. For $20 (or $10 if you're getting it on Steam), I think it would be a safe risk to take.

I've bought it from a physical shop (that also sells by internet) in Italy... I mean, the Italian version of a game is some sort of rarity, so, if I've been able to find the Italian version, you surely will find the English one. Do a search on google "kotor buy", like I did. It worked! ;-) Or maybe on e-bay, there are many!
However, if you are able to run Sims3 you will have no problem in running KOTOR. Or better, you computer is able to run it. But if you have an OS newer than Windows XP, prepare yourself to a long, long, long struggle to install the game :-(
PS: European versions ARE different from the US one. There are also different patches and different .exe version from SecuROM in case you have problems in installing the game in recent OSs (I had to contact SecuROM for help). So, DO NOT buy the EUR version if you live in USA.

Just about every original xbox game played on the 360 has issues. Neither game is really that hard to find though. Check amazon. The 1st game can be had for around $15, the 2nd probably more like $25.
The only games that are really expensive from the last generation are a few of the better gamecube titles and some other stuff that never went mainstream but now has a cult following, like shadow hearts.

If you're looking online Amazon has it going for $92.00 right now... the only real option here is to get lucky and find it in some store.

You must be looking at new. It lists 93 used from $13.95. I buy used games on there from individual buyers all the time, the prices are very reasonable. If you pick highly rated sellers and carefully read descriptions, you shouldn't have an issue (I never have). Even if you do, there is plenty of buyer protection if things go south.

I've had a few issues with buying used games in the past (scratched discs, unreadable, etc.) so I generally just ignore them. I know, it's a stupid thing to do but I've been burned a few times now buying used. Regardless, isn't it a bit unreasonable that Bioware/Lucas Arts chooses to basically ignore one of their most popular games? So much so that the Amazon price has jumped to close to $100 because they simply refuses to mass produce them? I just find it odd that an original kotor has become some what of a collectors item.
