DA is fine game also but the other two help prove you don't need a huge budget (or expensive game) to make an addictive game. 

DA would be #3

Torchlight went le craaaash when i tried the demo. Probably a good thing, all considered.



But, hrm... the one game i actually finished this year... one time... is Civ IV:BTS, so i suppose that would be my game of the year...?

And plants vs zombies? really? It's the most shallow of tower defense games with just LOL ZOMBIES I'M CASHING IN ON A ****TY FAD.

Same advertising gimmick that was used by Hellgate London.  Made by the makers of the critically acclaimed Diablo II.  Guess what..it failed....miserably.

Yes, it did. One of the strangest ideas ever for a game. An MMO, that wasn't really an MMO... Their big failure was not being able to keep the servers up with that screwy business model. You buy the game, play the first part offline, then play the rest online, with no monthly fee...weirdness!!! Someone is trying to remake it under one of the newer game engines I understand though.

In all honesty, Torchlight and Borderlines are my best games though. This includes Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Just wanted to say thanks publicly to ct1615. I tried the game out, then bought it!
For 20 bucks it sure is a fun way to get my Diablo fix going while waiting for the vaporware that is D:III

I love running around with dual pistols and the shadow armor going
