My Aunt's dog broke my Creative sound blaster tactic 3d alphas and I do believe once she gets back from her trip from Africa she'll compensate me.  They were decent headphones but I know there's better out there.   The Trittons I tried on a year ago + Isabela's voice robbed my ears of their innocence.

I want something with better "surround sound" preferably under 100$ with the best price to performance ratio.  I've been eyeing either the Plantronics Gamecom 780's or the Creative sound blaster tactic 3d Sigma and I mostly stuck deciding between those two but I'm also up for other suggestions.   I mostly care about the surround sound experience and I'm hoping there are others on the forum good experience and suggestions.

I didn't know about that Plantronics one. Am in the market to buy a headset as well since I need a better microphone solution for LPs, and have had a Plantronics headset in the past - and this one seems to have the very same padding. It fits very snuggly to your head yet doesn't feel so compressed and tight most headsets I've tried do. Feels great for hours upon hours of wearing.

Not that I've tried this exact model nor the other one you're linking, just talking from past experience =) Thanks for the links!

As long as it aint Fatality, it's all good, I think. I've broken 3 of those already. Total bullsh*t.

Wired Astro A40 or the new Astro A50. They're a little pricey, but totally worth it.

Trittons are cheap restrictive plastic garbage, and Turtle Beach offers their best headsets in wireless which also suck because they always get interference, mic buzz, etc. speaking from experience here go with Astro. They also have great customer service.

My little brothers Turtle beaches were absolute crap and there's no way I'm investing in anything made by the company. Sure they were the cheap 360 stereo model but if you can't even get stereo headsets right why should I think their advanced line is better.

The G35's look great Ish but they're just out of my price range. Astro's are also out of the question.

I tend to buy 'heisers because they are awesome cans (for gaming headsets) and they have the best customer service.
Price/headset type to taste from that list.
