Im hear 4 teh lulz

Which all of you are dutifully providing, by the way. Even if you don't mean to. Perhaps the reason I actually enjoyed the game was because I didn't buy into all of that pre-release hype, so I went in with 0 expectations. Did the endings suck the first time around? Yeah. Did I enjoy them with the EC? Yeah. So it's all good for me.

Because if you were at the bus stop still complaining about Mass Effect 3's ending, people would look at you like you were NNNNNNNNNNuts!!!

Turns out this is the most appropriate place...

I am still here because I loved ME1, ME2, and 90% 0f ME3. I will never forgive that "ending" no matter how much BW likes it.

BSN members are easy to troll. Most of the people still here are in emotional shock.

Other than that, there is occasionally a bright individual. To be honest, ME bores me. I'm considering trading it in at a later occasion, but I'm going to wait on Borderlands 2.

Because I am an obsessive weirdo who, despite having legitimate complaints, has chosen to wallow in them months after the fact, thus lending the mistakes on the part of Bioware far more control over my mood than they actually deserve. I feel the need to defend this because I am overly invested in these complaints.

Meanwhile, other fans who are upset with the ending have thrown up their hands and moved on to other things in the succeeding months, knowing that at least the vast majority of the trilogy was good and a stupid ending can't take that away from them.  You can find them at the bar. They're complaining, but at least they're having fun while doing so.

You are still a minority.

That stands to question. After EC came out, there were a lot of posts saying it had saved ME3 for them.

I like the EC. As s rule, I just don't bother spamming my opinion on the complaint threads anymore. I guess it's the same for many others. It's all been rehashed ad infinitum.

As for why I'm here and still complaining: I want Miranda to appear in a DLC with her character traits more balanced than in the main game.

I love what they did with EC - and look forward to SP DLC in the future : bring on the Leviathan of Dis, and Retake Omega!! :)

I'm here because I want to dig out all ME3's flaws* since on a subconscious level I know that there are many others to find, but I can't simply figure them out alone, and reading "haters" threads is the easiest way. And I want to uncover what's wrong through possibly respectful and thoughtful confrontation, but I suppose I'm in the wrong place because it always ends with people of different opinion trolling on threads they shouldn't care about.
And yes, I want BioWare to aknowledge our opinions but I know that they won't do that (casualization is the path...). And probably I won't be there anymore to care about their next games.

*I would also like to find something good but what I've found in "I <3 M3" threads is still unconvincing...

Can't talk about others but it certainly saved ME3 for me. Now I can look forward to Leviathan, Omega and hopfully many more DLCs. :D :D

I'm still here for many of the reasons already listed. I want to make sure any game developer who sees these forums, be they Bioware or otherwise, has the best chance possible to realize what a stupid, tragic mistake it is to end a beloved series this way. I'm also here to make sure that if there is ever a chance of Bioware overcoming their crippling arrogance and creating an acceptable ending, I can add my voice to those who push for it. And I'm here to remind them every now and then that I won't be making ANY Mass Effect-related purchase again until that happens.

I'm still here because I love the damned series...despite the antics Bioware and EA pulled toward in the last two games...(yes...I didn't like dying... or working for Cerberus...or neutered inventory...or "Game Summary with TIM", ...or lack of "on the fly" armor customizations...or loading screens...or whiny little boys....or not seeing my full choices have some sort of feedback throught the game)  Hell...I guess I'm an ME1-er at heart - although I did love the combat feel of ME3....

You know what I did after I swore off the call of duty franchise after it became a yearly rehash, after part 4? I stopped paying attention to it. I stopped participating in forums related to the game. I didn't hang around for months on end obsessed with something I hated.

Crazy talk, I know.

Not really a resounding pro-EC consortium at all.  Most posts were that the EC was better than the original endings but still not what people wanted.  And generally what such posts ended on was that at least the game was over now, no desire to play it again since the endings will all be the same, no more Bioware for me, no DLC, deleting my save games.

BW set up the EC to be compared only to the original endings and most of the posts from people that liked the EC said it still didn't fit the rest of the games.  So a lot of people said that the EC at least explained some things, but it was still stupid.  And Casey Hudson said it best-the EC does not fundamentally change the original endings.

It just added more trash to the pile.

You aren't understanding the difference here though.  Most of us loved ME and even loved Bioware.  Most of us that hate the endings and the EC don't hate the rest of ME.  We still hold out some hope that there may be some reconsideration of what's been done.  No expectations, but a faint hope.  BW has said they won't release anything that will affect the endings.  Ok I get that.  BW also said we wouldn't get ABC endings, that we would get a vast variety of endings based on our choices, so it would be like no two players were playing the same game.  Super hype and not believable, but well we didn't get anywhere near that.

Mac Walters said in Feb that there'd be no post-ME3 DLC because the galaxy is a wasteland.  Then ME3 came out, mass relays were destroyed (a la Walters' the Arrival-he wrote that to help show what would happen) and people didn't like it.  So they retconned it on twitter.  Then came the EC and they retconned all of what happens to relays and said they didn't understand why people thought the galaxy would be destroyed.  So, at this point they could say anything and I wouldn't believe it until I could actually see it.

I still do want an end to this game and Shepard's story.  I know it probably won't come but there's a slim chance.  If it did, and if it was good and made sense, I wouldn't say I'd forget all this stuff that's happened, but at least I could partly enjoy the game again.  And I really want that.

Speak for yourself and don't presume to know anything about the people here.  I've lived far more in my life already than some will live in 3 lifetimes.  I've done and seen much and I still do and I am living here.  I get to speak with a diverse group of people that I'd never meet in "real" life and exchange thoughts on things that range from love and sacrifice to astrophysics.  I don't regret a minute of it even when others have been less than kind because I do still learn from all that too.

I am still here because:
I want an ending that does not insult the intelligence of people that played ME1 and 2 and even 3 itself. I want the ending that was promised-one that took note of choices made in all 3 games and not artificial choices inserted at the last moments of the last game in a trilogy. I want an ending. I haven't gotten one yet. I would like bittersweet, sad, sacrificial, and yes a happier ending-that's variety that I could see as the result of my choices.

With the endings we have why should I even play ME1 and 2? Why play most of ME3? All you need to do is play MP, promote classes, and the play just enough of ME3 to get to the end. I want Sovereign's and Harbinger's words to mean something. I want Legion's sacrifice to mean something. I want all my paragon decisions to mean something. I want Bioware's promises to mean something.

I know none of this will happen. I know they never listened. And I feel they never cared. If they cared they would really have attempted to open up a dialogue here, on this site with registered buyers and not lived on twitter and fed their egos at convention panel discussions.

And I think they need to find the backbone (the one maybe that they took out of Shepard) and face fans that disagree with them. I post because they may intend to release DLC and I still want to see if it's possible for them to redeem all this or if they will try to make Shepard-only missions or some with non-talking team members that doesn't change or add to what we got as an ending.

I am here because I loved ME and I wish I still did.  I am an eternal optimist and hope that I will be able to and that they will at long last listen.  I don't expect it but I hope.

So much seconded. I want the trilogy to have the ending it should have gotten. I want my galaxy to have a future. I want the entire galaxy to stand up as one, spit in the Reaper's eyes, and throw everything we've learned and done over the past three games at our greatest enemy. Is it going to be a painless battle? Frell no! The Reapers are powerful even when you discount their greatest weapon: fear. There's going to be casualties. There will probably be races wiped out by the end, fleets destroyed in their entirety, Earth is probably going to be all but destroyed, and there is no way I'm going to get all of my teammates out alive this time. But you know what? They die fighting, and their sacrifices buy a galaxy empty of Reapers; one where the races can rebuild. THAT is what I wanted, and THAT is why my money is now going to Koobismo of the Marauder Shields comic instead of Bioware.

...it wouldn't even have been that hard. The EC retconned so much anyway, just add another path in there somewhere. Some alternate route that lets us avoid Starkid if we want. The Leviathan DLC offers Bioware another chance to put in what should have been there in the first place, but I know perfectly well that they're not going to take it. All Bioware's roads lead to RGB.

Bioware, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will long remember if we were paragon or renegade. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that we stood against many. That's what's important! Our preorders and DLC purchases please you, Bioware... so grant me one request. Grant me a way to win! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!

I'm still here because I spent $70 to get kicked in the nuts repeatedly. It's hard to let that kind of thing go. I got kicked in the nuts by a girl in 4th grade once. I still remember her face. One of these days Becky... vengeance will be mine.

Did I just overshare?

I find EC wasn't a "kind desire of heart" from BioWare to make "game better". It was a PR-move to make things better for them and make people to shut up for couple of months, so the sales stop dropping. EC may make game better for some players, but honestly, I do not think it came out of good intensions and care to listen to fans' feedback.
