 i dont know if anyone is running into this problem, but everytime i try to start up the game, my xbox freezes in the middle of a loading screen(i.e. last night, during campaign it froze multiple times while in the loading screen after taking the elevator in the citadel, and this morning it is freezing while it loads the title screen)

I am lead to believe it has something to do with the game, not my xbox as my xbox happily loads anything else that i put in.

any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance for any usefull information

i have the same problem with my game, i rarely play the game anymore, and have temporarily abandoned single player.
but when i start the game and play MP it freezes every time.

EA tech support tells you to come to the forums, and i did so only to learn there are no real answers for the problem.
i personally clear my system cache every time i play ME3, ME2 or BF3, because those are my problem games...ironically all from ea..

it appears to have something to do with my internet, it seems that if i dont sign into live (im an xboxer) than i can access the game freely... will deleting the system cache remove all data i have on the game (i.e. downloads, campaign progress)???

If you delete the cache it won't delete downloads or progress, but it will delete patches and you'll have to re-download them before you can play online.

i can get onto mass effect using my younger brothers account, so this gives reasoning that there is something wrong with my account, any suggestions as what it may be???

Have i been banned??

Looks like the Black Screen of Death. There is a link to the group in Resante's sig, there is a fix there, he created it. Glitch has been around since launch.

I had this problem when I first got the game and after clearing my cache and all that I found a corrupted avatar item that came with the game and after I deleted that the game worked perfectly fine. I am not sure if it was just a coincidence or what, but check your avatar items.

does deleting ur game have u restart entirely in the multiplayer?

thank you, i have the CE and i have the normandy avatar thing on but i have never seen it on my dashboard. 
this could be the source of my problem.

problem solved, thanks to resante's link that neomorph pointed out, thnx a whole bunch, if anyone else stumbles upon this thread, do the precedure that u can locate on resante's link (in his quote, then there is another link within the group page) if it doesnt work the first time then try again a second time
