When you start the Rannoch storyline, you dock with the Quarian Diplomatic vessel.

It's described as a vessel similar to other Quarian models, yet possessing a very advanced Stealth technology, not unlike that of the Normandy. It is also 'unsure' how the Quarians acquired such tech.

Then it hit me: IT WAS THAT TWO-TIMING **** TALI!!!!!!!!!!!!

All playing innocent nerdy schoolgirl in Mass Effect 2.... yet she would omni-tool-scan the hell out of your ship every single time you were not looking! Even after you agreed to be her lawyer free of charge!!!!! >:((((((

I swear that thought completely changed my overall feelings about her. And i mean over the whole trilogy.

What do you think? I mean yeah, giggly Quarian bums and all, but how can we really trust Tali? How many times would she sacrifice Shepard to give the flotilla the slightest edge?

I am now unsure about my decision to kill the Geth with my soldier on 1st playthrough. He might be a renegade, but sure as hell he is against slavery....

Yup. She also (unwittingly) assisted her father in illegal experiments, then demanded that you help cover it up.

What's she hiding behind that mask...?

All it says is that the vessal is "relatively cool" and radiating heat in a manner "similar to the Normandy." I'm paraphrasing a bit. But that's quite a ways from saying it has the same steath drive as the Normandy.

Besides, I believe the Normandy doesn't radiate heat at all and has a refrigerated hull in stealth mode.

I was sure she was sending every detail about Normandy tech to the Quarians ever since ME1. And I let her. Cos I'm cool like that.

Considering I would have let her take the plans anyway I don't mind.

theoretically she stole that info from the Sr1 not the SR2

because she needed to bring something back from her pilgrimage, and what better then the most advanced stealth technology of the time.
Plus, alot of people never even recruit Tali in ME2

The more you think about the Quarians the less you like them.

The game presents them in an oddly positive light but they're mainly scavengers and criminals with agendas and bad attitudes.

It's not like it's the most revolutionary stealth system ever. Hide the ship's radiation. F'ING BRILLIANT!

Besides, with hips like that, she can have it. :P

I admit - I assumed this, too; which of course made Ashley's line about restricting access to the Normandy quite correct.  But my Sheps weren't as paranoid as she is.

thing is, the SR1 was so small, if you were gonna restrict them they would either have to stay in the confrence room or sleeper pod the whole time.

But yes, I did have a feeling since ME1 that she was sending the specs of the Normandy to the migrant fleet

So your telling me the innocent girl was being more of a thief then the actual thief on the ship

It all makes sense

The Tantalus drive is top secret.

So let's put the alien scavenger right next to it and in the presence of an engineer who is a) awed by her abilities, B) enthusiastic at her presence and c) likes to yell the intricate details of the drive's functions within earshot of her.

What did you think would happen?

Anyway, i'm not so sure about her stealing stealth from the SR1. Adams was constantly there watching her (and possibly hitting on her, but failing because he looks like an old Noah Ringer with aids).

Snatching it from the SR2, with only Gabby and Kenny too busy exchanging sexual innuendos, would've been way easier.

Was not surprised at all tbh. Tali has always and will always be loyal to her people more then Shepard.

but then how do they get the technology if you do not recruit Tali in ME2?

It's funny, because Shepard is looting Prothean artifacts so he can change the galaxy forever, whenever the rest of the galaxy is in on it or not. And people see him as a hero.

Let's not even mention the constant eavesdropping.

Hey Shepard and Adams are the ones who put her right there.
Also TIM, EDI, and Cerberus.

I mean you left someone who is a technical wizard right next to the stupid thing.
Also what the Turians have it to.

So why is it secret even?

THIS

Also, you as Shepard gave her full access to the ship... and she had a lot more reasons to steal the tech on ME2 than on 1, considering Cerberus story with the Quarians... and there is a reason why you put her in CHARGE (Remember Gaby and Ken call her BOSS.

If you didnt saw that coming... I was counting on it since ME1, really... and that scene only brought a smile to my face "Well done, Tali"

The Salarian STG gets it too, after scanning the SR-2 when it swings by to pick up Eve.

And then they one-up the SR-2 and install the thing on dreadnoughts. Stealth dreadnoughts, with thanix cannons and lasers (the latter of which bypass kinetic barriers entirely). Yeah.
