Shepard has stolen from the dead though, see's body and scans it, "We can use this."

Stealing is stealing, bro. Plus he steals from the dead and he stole the Cerberus ship even after all that money TIM wasted on it and Shepard.

And the living. "Hey, you people should stay in your apartment till I clear the way to Mordin's... by the way, you wouldn't happen to have any safes would you?"

As long as it isn't used against Humans, what is the problem.
It's not a scenario like the F35B (I think it was that plane), where the Chinese had a very similar jet being manufactured when the Americans were producing there's. That was believed to have been made from stolen plans. That's when these things are bad.

Shepard had no issues letting Tali learn about their top secret stealth drive...
While an Alliance vessel of joint Turian design, the Normandy has become a symbol for multilateral cooperation...

What the Quarian people learned about our engines is just another olive branch as far as I'm concerned...

Not only that, she also managed to steal my shepard's heart. What a thief!

So what? if I could i'd share the technology with everyone so that they could build stealth ships and fight the reapers.

That kind of common sense doesn't exist within ME.

WOW that pisses me off. Is it possible to tell that suit rat to ****** off in ME1 so she never gets a chance to prove quarians deserve the prejudice they get?

I fail to see why this is a bad thing. The quarians have never been an enemy of the Alliance (unlike some other races), and they're wholeheartedly allies against the Reapers.

ITT: Jumping to conclusions.
Never think the Quarians could've scanned the Normandy during the Loyalty mission and go "Huh, we could totally reverse engineer that idea. Rather simplistic in theory anyway."

Yeah, it's not like they saw the Reapers' invasion as a selfish opportunity to attack a REAL ally, the geth.

I think that if it is true, Tali would at least tell you about, especially if you were her LI. I dislike the Quarians, but like to think of Tali as a loyal member of the crew.

I'm pretty sure that's what STg did but no one kicks up a stink about that [As in scanned the SR2]

I wonder if they got the tech from the geth during their research? Seeing as the heretics were our eneimes, they might have had usable intel. Saren might've gotten some too.

And the Salarians stole it too, so by the same logic either Kirahee or Mordin ratted it to the STG. TIM and Cerberus got there hands on it and made it like 10x better, so it's not a well kept secret to begin with or even that hard to produce. Heck, the fact that the Quarians have such limited resources to begin with suggests that the drive core at least had to be built from scratch.

We're not even sure if Tali took it in the first place, though admittedly the evidence does point to her, even though we know that Quarians are often hired on the side to work on high tech things projects like the SR1. It is most likely that she took the designs or at least concepts and data she memorized to the admiralty after Shepard died in ME1, in which case the only person she would feel like she is dishonoring is dead, so I can hardly blame her.

I've already mentioned it.  Its really not a problem, its just that the implication that Tali stole the Alliance secrets when she was a trusted member aboard the Normandy that is an inciting problem.  Most cases, most people don't even know about the Salarian 1st Fleet unless they read up on it.

All this is based on 1 or 2 lines from a minor description of a ship we never enter or see. There's not much evidence for anything.

Real ally? Last time I checked the geths have been shooting at me for 3 games now while no Quarian has every touched me with a bullet once.

Yeah, it's not like they had their entire fleet open fire on a defenseless ship with you in it.

Good theory and its very plausible, Tali just doesn't like the type to steal any tech.

The reasons for opening fire made senseto me, if I was in a similar situation I'd do what Garrel did as well, after all if you get a chance to take your enemy out, you go for it.

Besides I never liked the Geth myself, it was a shame, I couldn't turn Legiond head into a desk lamp and put in Sheps quarters in ME2 or even 3 for that matter.:D

Especially since she asks you if she can have the Geth data in ME1.

And it's not like that defensless ship was the source of an upgrade code currently transmitting to thousands of fully armed and hostile craft around it.

However, I'm pretty sure there are Geth v. Quarian threads elseware, this is more a Secrecy v. Quarians thread.

I'd have slashed open Garrel's throat right there in the war room if I had the option.

Heretic geth are called "heretics" for a reason.  Judging regular geth by them is like judging humans by (censored word for Hitler's party).

Well lets see the Geth wiped out millions of Quarians during the war with the Quarians, yes it ws self defence, but still no excuse to kill so many.
