What happened to Throw?

 Hi, I was soloing gold with my Fury for the first time and I noticed that Throw is almost not working, is missing too much, I don't know what happened but there is something wrong here because it used to work very good when I used to play adepts some time ago.

Now when I use the power is simply like if I didn't use it, because it miss too much, and because of that I had to rely on my claymore ( yes, Fury with Claymore ) and the final time was terrible, 43 minutes or so on Glacier and normaly i do runs in this map in less than 30 minutes.


But anyway, that's not the thread, I want to know if anyone has noticed this, because it's really you know dissapointing.

I have noticed this a couple times over the weekend, but it wasn't consistent. It wasn't like lag where it would hit the target and do nothing, or just utterly miss. This was more like it would just pass through the target, even with no lag.

Sometimes yesterday it did not work for me but I think was bad lag... I find myself 666 yards outside of the actually map all of a sudden....

Yeah Non instant powers get dodged a lot now it's really annoying

This weekend was flying through my targets at point blank but I had lag it normally works fine

It's called Earth DLC introduced hidden enemy buffs. They dodge projectile powers on gold like 85% and plat 90% now .......

1.03 happened. See some of the posts about biotics being dodged/missing/not working in the couple of days immediately after the 1.03 patch came out. Been that way since.

Pretty much this when I play my AA with my buddy's Fury or Slayer. I've seen it connect and no reaction what so ever.

yeah, its not just throw, happens a lot with warp and pull too i've noticed

I noticed that some enemies (marauders, centurions...) dodge it even when you are basically on top of them. Not funny. I miss in other circumstances too, but it's probably because being so close to the enemy makes it easy to lose the target lock

It seems like around the time they fixed the "disappearing shots" from projectile weapons like the scorpion, falcon, etc. they broke powers that travel in the process. I could be wrong, but I never had problems with throw/incinerate before like I do now. It's not a dodging issue either. There is sometimes no effect even after they dodge and you recast. Best thing to do is taking the radius evo of the powers as it seems to help.

Since he was solo'ing, I doubt it was lag, people...

mooks simply dodge far more often on Gold nowadays. You can spam Warp at a Marauder or Geth Rocket Trooper four, five times in a row, and watch them dodge every single one. Yet another step in Bioware's idea of "balance." In this case, the balance apparently is "Make casting classes useless and make everyone use weapons."

So that then when they nerf ALL the weapons, they can finally have a game where nothing is viable on gold anymore.

This used to happen to me a lot if I wasn't host and the game I was in had even a bit of lag. But that was at release even, it's actually gotten better for me. Never had troubles as host, but I've been playing tech and weapons classes a lot lately (don't have Fury yet).

Yeah...things were a bit weird this weekend.

Especially during objective waves. Enemies seemed to go all "super mode" for some reason.

That's why I take radius on my throw.

I would love to put force and damage on rank 4 but with radius it's more guaranteed to have a BE go off.

But yes - I have noticed it missing.

What really gets me is when I put dark channel, reave or warp and it seems that they didn't take when I use throw to detonate and all it does is push them back.

If I understand the OP properly, and what I meant, it is not lag and NOT Dodging. Literally, throw will just pass through the target, or hit have have zero effect.

My adept was playing dodgeball with a geth yesterday. I must have fired warp 5 times before hitting him, as he was standing in the open about 30 feet away, dodging every shot. Tried to follow up with throw, but guess how that ended up...

I haven't noticed that it is really any worse than it was before. Enemies can dodge up to 50% of your non-instant attacks, and phantoms can dodge more. However, there are a lot of ways to mitigate their ability to dodge.

Also, trying out the Fury on gold myself recently I did notice that it can be easy to miss when you are trying to set off BEs with your AH. However, I think this is just the result of being in super close quarters makes it hard to keep target on something if it moves just a little.

Edit: remember, if you just fire a couple shots off at most enemies they will either go for a dodge or get staggered and then you can always hit them with an ability....except for phantoms of course, which are super annoying

I see my throws connect but they hardly ever detonate explosions now, and this is on teams with full biotics. I thought dark channel was messing with it, but does that make any sense? It usually took around 3 connecting throws to get an explosion, and my team was a drell, 2 asaris and a fury.

Same with warp/throw. I had to hurricane my way out of several sticky situations because I guess the enemy was too close to hit???

Gotta love it when you are behind an enemy and they all of a sudden know when to dodge your throw.
