While it can be imported over to Awakening, I do not believe it can be upgraded beyond tier 7.

And here I was hoping for a discusion on the sword it's self. I saw a Tevinter statue attached to an Eluvian wielding an identical blade.

If you have the winter forge mod, I think you can upgrade it to awakening's highest tier via the mod.
