N7 Typhoon Assault Rifle
- Damage multiplier when fully ramped up decreased from [2.0x] to [1.5x]

 


Will have to try it out, but based on my experience with the gun I'd say this is probably a good change.


N7 Indra Sniper Rifle
- Damage increased from [62.6-78.2] to [72.6-92.2]

 


Very nice. Hoping this means that other sniper rifles will get similar buffs in the future.


Prothean Particle Beam Assault Rifle
- Damage increased from [17.2-21.4] to [19.2-25.8]

 


Probably not enough, will have to try it out, but appreciate the gradual approach.


Smash Power
- Base cooldown increased from 5 to 8 seconds

 


Good. It was way too spammable.


Devastator Mode Power
- Base rate of fire bonus decreased from 15% to 10%

 


Personally I think a nerf to the accuracy bonus would be better, but still a justified nerf.


Incinerate Power
- Base damage increased from 300 to 330

 


Good. Not much, but again, the gradual approach is better than overdoing it and then having to nerf it back.


Carnage Power
- Base damage increased from 315 to 350

 


See Incinerate.


Pull
- Impact damage for all kits with pull is now 100 to match Asari Justicar
- Rank 3 duration bonus increased from 40% to 50%
- Evolve 1 duration bonus increased from 50% to 100%
- Evolve 2 radius bonus increased from 2m to 2.5m
- Evolve 3 lifted damage per second increased from 20 to 75
- Evolve 4 extra damage done to targets increased from 25% to 30%
- Evolve 5 biotic combo damage bonus increased from 50% to 75%
- Evolve 6 recharge bonus increased from 60% to 150%

 


Very nice.


Gold and Platinum Difficulties
- Enemy shield/barrier damage gates on weapon damage reduced from 100% to 90%, which
means 10% of the remaining weapon damage after impacting shields/barriers will pass
through to health. 

 

Excited to see how this will play out, but I can't imagine this not being a good thing. Hopefully more Widows and Javelins will be seen again.

Yeah, smash nerf, that was soooo necessary. A power that takes away 1-2 bars of armor per cast, only hits two targets at a time, only travel a short distance, doesn't stagger, targets swarmers before anything else and has a long animation for a squishy character really needed to be nerfed.

All the win in those balance changes were undone by this failure.

They must not have finished testing or something. I really expected to see A piranha adjustment. The bad news for piranha lovers is, if it were a simple weight increase, they would have put it in. Expect an rof or damage nerf, possibly both.

No, 50% to the multiplier, 25% of the whole dmg (2.0 to 1.5 --> 0.5/2 = 25% of whole dmg, 0.5x of additional 1x = 50% nerf to the multiplier)

Actually since only 10 percent of damage actually goes through the shields into health, you still can't one hit kill shielded enemies.

Some pretty good changes besides the typhoon keeps receiving beating from the nerd hammer.

Don't find the destroyers RoF decrease to be bad at all but I may be wrong.

Hm... Smash cooldown increase...

I haven't played with the changes yet, but I think that Smash is dead now. One of the things that made it work really well is that it tied up with Lash incredibly well when it came to cooldowns. Now, the Cerberus Human class might as well be dead for anything over Silver. Even then it might not be very useful considering the number of "heavy" unlashable units. And it's not like the power was overpowered anyway. Yes, it was damn powerful, but the class was about as durable as wet tissue paper and that's with max fitness for health + shields, so it balanced out. If it needed a nerf and was completely unbalanced, you'd see a lot more people using it and I hardly ever did.

I like the changes, but I would have liked a more prominent buff to the PPR. It good to see carnage and pull buffed as well. It'll be great on justicars/drells.

Its more to give Javelin/Widow/Mantis some element of usability above Silver. Snipers were OP a month ago, but these guns were not ever.

Yeah im not a big fanof the typhoon nerf, but im rolling around laughing at protoman at the moment over the paranha...he trolled so hard too.

Pity, I was hoping to at least try out the Typhoon at its best, but so much for that (damn uncooperative RNG store). But all in all it seems like a good week.

The Smash thing is kinda odd.  In truth the CD on it was so fast at 200% that you wer ready to cast again a split second before the power was even done firing, but that was because of a buff that they've now removed.

Happy about Incinerate.  I use it a lot.

Will have to try out Pull again.

Shield Gate adjustment is welcome.

Balance changes somewhat unnecessary to Typhoon, I still prefer the Harrier over it.

Figured Smash was going to catch a beating soon, it is extremely OP with electrical evolution stacking 4 times. This will cut down on that.

Still not impressed on PPR.

Pull has some good changes.

Devastator RoF, meh, 5% isn't bad.

Good buff to Indra

Not sure if they mean enemy damage to us or to them? If it is to them, why only on Gold +?
