Level 1 Typhoon
44.5*2 = 89 damage per bullet
44.5*1.5 = 66.75 damage per bullet
RESULT = 25% damage loss (To date the single biggest damage nerf of any weapon)

DPS at 650 RoF;
Pre-nerf = 964 DPS - Less than a Harrier, Hurricane, and Piranha but still respectable given its "charge up" mechanic, and ultra-rare status.

Post-nerf = 723 DPS - Less than many weapons now, and might as well be an SMG

I'm sorry but this is a MASSIVE mistake as far as "nerfs" go. The weapon is an ultra-rare and INCREDIBLY heavy, combined with a "charge up" aspect that makes it difficult to use against any enemy when stagger is involved, not to mention the exposure time.

Very poor decision, and I'm "butthurt" (before anyone accuses me of it), by the nerf as it effectively makes the weapon subpar to many others and not worth using at all anymore.

I'm certainly not going to "rage quit" the game, but its very poorly thought "balance changes" such as this which wear on my desire to play and continue to "grind" a repetitive mode.



I think the same thing, I don't understand why bioware makes this ultra rare useless in 2 good strike..

It's 25%. (0.5 is a quarter of 2.0)

yeh, way to go mess up another great weapon... there was no need to nerf the typhoon at all.. yet for some stupid reason you did. terrible customer statisfaction you have here guys, you manage ruin multiplayer for majority of people yet again.

Pretty fair all round.

Typhoon nerf seems pretty harsh though. I mean, I didn't think it was OP. Did only just get it though.

So, why is shockwave still left to rot? If Smash is going to do more damage at the same CD as Shockwave, then it stands to reason that Shockwave should do more damage or have a lot shorter CD. Otherwise, we have second rate choices in the game.

Huh... didn't see that coming. I'mma enjoy the slightly better pull (always spec it on Drellguard). And the change to shieldgate should make snipers rejoice (ish).

25% to the multiplier, not so HUGE


25% to the mutliplier that's applied for the majority of firing it actually is kinda substantial. Not saying it isn't usable, just saying that for most of the clip, the gun is substantially worse. It isn't a bad gun, but that is pretty substantial.

I don't even have a Typhoon yet and it's already been nerfed twice..

Why do you guys hate ARs so much? They were never great to begin with, so why nerf one of the good ones? It's ULTRA RARE, let it be better then the rest.

Eric you forgot to re-buff the Krysae Rate of Fire. You decreased Destroyer's RoF Bonus, now can you make the Krysae useful again? I can live with the other 4 nerfs it got handed last week, but RoF nerf seriously ruined that gun to the point where i no longer use it at all.

Don't like the Smash nerf, it was not like I've seen the Phoenix classes dominate in any way, and they are squishy for needing to be up close to utilize it, along with the long long animation :/

Everything else is fine to good though.

kinda confused on the increased BE bonus on Pull. my rank 4 Pull + rank 6 Reave was enough to eventually (as in usually before they got back up) kill any pullable target with the DOT on Reave after the boom anyway.
Pull's main weakness still remains in that it can't do anything to shields or armor. 25% more BE damage to basic mooks and shield-stripped troops doesn't mean that much, except in the rare cases where enemies stay clumped together longer, and now most maps are too open for that.

Not even close. I just tested and my GI with max dmg hunter mode and tac cloak getting a head shot with the javelin on a pyro only did the 1st little half bar of armor through the shield. Im sorry BW, but this change is utterly useless. If you're going to do something do it right :(.

Great. Piranha & Reegar weren't nerfed, but Bioware hits Typhoon again and majority of playerbase even doesn't have it. Noob-tubes that you don't have to aim properly prosper and one good assault rifle which is great only on one class is nerfed twice already.
Smash nerf is good, mindless spamming pissed me off.

I can't understand the Typhoon nerf whatsoever. The continued devaluing of Ultra-Rares, whether through nerfs or through the introduction of insanely powerful weapons as Rares, has gotten out of hand.

It's making it less and less tolerable to spam PSP after PSP to try and max out the URs. What's the point if they're going to nerf or make a Rare that's better?

So now the reverant is a better option than the typhoon for anyone except a destroyer. MUCH lighter, no charge up time to reach the same RoF, and only slightly less damage per bullet.

I wish I could suck at my job as much as these guys do and still have a job.

Been trying to get the typhoon since the DLC came out, but with these nerfs to it, im not sure if its going to be worth using if BW keeps this up.
