Particle rifle outclasses it. The math is there and I have tested this out myself and yes it is that bad. Elitist idiots always say the nerfs aren't that bad because it doesn't affect them. Plus when they test something they never do an "average joe" test.

Exactly. I spend most of my time on the forum actually being helpful and giving advice where I can. But when somebody overreacts to a nerf, complaining how it's un-usable, saying that they'll never touch it again; I feel that this picture is the appropriate response. But if you say so, I'll just find another picture

I think they definetly should at least be on par with a rare X of a similar nature. Come on, UR's are called UR's for a reason. They are hard to get, and harder still to upgrade to max level for full potential.

Maybe the Krysae got a 25% damage nerf, other than that no weapon since this game's release has taken that hard of a hit from the Nerf bat, and it didn't even need the nerf! The community almost unanimously agrees that the Typhoon did not need a nerf. It needs constant exposure, eats through ammo almost as quickly as the Harrier, and has a staggered rate of fire. The math says that the PPR outclasses it now.

The damage change only affects when you have it fully spooled and firing. So at least in part you won't even notice it unless you're firing off a quarter of a clip every time you pop out of cover. Against very large mobs you might notice a slight decrease, as well as against bosses, but it really isn't as horrible as people make it out to be...

Boom Dynamite Thread about Typhoon being a paperweight

In that thread they show the numbers difference between a revenant X and Typhoon V ( which I happen to have ).  They are about equal except revenant does not have a ramp up speed, and is less accurate, but has less recoil, weights less and is much easier to obtain.

Yeah, I played with it since the nerf and its quite different ( bad ).  I feel bretayed that they nerfed that gun, damn it.

lol, and it is that part about getting it up to speed that is a big drawback.  If you stop firing to select another target, you start over again + you have to stay exposed during that whole process...

The problem with the people claiming that the Typhoon nerf isn't a big deal are mostly players who already have the Typhoon to a very high level, so they don't see or understand that most people don't have high level ultra rares and probably never will.

With the nerf to the damage multiplier the Revenant out performs the Typhoon untill it reaches lvl 10, at which point it just barely passes the Revenant in dps. The thing is, the vast majority players may never get a Typhoon to lvl 10, so for all intents and purposes the Typhoon is a useless gun for the vast majority players, and yes, that is a problem.

What makes the whole thing even worse is that the Harrier out DPS's both guns by a wide margin even at lvl 1, you just have to adjust to the low ammo count.

uh-huh...Typhoon Lvl 1 here. Thanks for being accurate. The thing was and still IS one of, if not THE best AR, the only one that come even close? The Harrier, and it can't keep up with the continuous fire.

It's quite literally pathetic now. I do a billion times better on a Batarian Soldier with a Talon pistol. A pistol.

Way less DPS than the harrier I, even at lv X and doesn't out damage a Revenant X until its lv VIII. I say that's pretty bad

Right, but it isn't fair to judge the weapons based on only DPS. The Harrier and Typhoon are far more accurate than the Revenant. I do more damage with my Destroyer with the Typhoon because I can land headshots much more reliably and from a further distance than with the Revenant. I'm not justifying the Typhoon nerf in any way, but I don't believe it's made the gun irrelevant.

It was a pretty bad nerf, don't see the point of using it myself anymore. I thought it was good but not amazing pre-nerf, now it's down to mediocre and I'm not feeling it anymore.

Good job bioware, ruined the gun. Meanwhile the particle rifle still sucks.

That drives me nuts. Great players with top mods are always going to do well. Average joes with average mods should be your base. You don't really see other games (CoD, Gears, etc.) around their MLG leagues.

I got the top score using it on platinum (over 120k) after the nerf and all of my teammates had an n7 ranking at least 1000 more than mine. It literally melts banshees, brutes, primes, atlases, ravagers and every other enemy in seconds (except Swarmers because they are super OP)
