Any of you guys check out the most recent nerf to the N7 Typhoon? "2x damage multplier has gone down to 1.5x"

It's pretty bad. Let's compare it to the revenant, the AR most similar to it, in detail. At rank 1 of the Typhoon, the gun does 44 damage per round that goes up to 61.6 damage per round. Which is, coincidentally LESS damage than a similar rank 1 revenant (63.6 damage) per round. It takes several upgrades for the Typhoon to outdamage the revenant, and does 83.25 damage per round at level 10, ONLY 3.75 more damage than a revenant 10. And that's only when the Typhoon is full revved up....

And please tell me, who around here actually thinks they'll get a lvl 10 Typhoon anytime soon?

Well.... that sucks. The piranha remains as the most damaging weapon in the game, and the ASSUALT RIFLE, ONE OF THE FEW ACTUALLY GOOD ARs IN THE GAME, gets a damage nerf.

Honestly, it was quite easy to roll a Typhoon with Destroyer so I'm not mad.

Uh, what again? Only 10% of your damage is gonna ge through the shield gate. Makes snipers like the widow, javelin, mantis STILL irrelevant since they still have to 2 shot smaller enemies. This changes nothing.

Typhoon is already slow to get going and unusable on most classes. Why screw with it when it has enough drawbacks?

That's not that big of a buff.  That only grants you 10% of your excess damage on the bullet that breaks the shield of an enemy.  This will help the Javelin a bit and maybe the Widow, but not much else.  Let's say for example the Javelin does 1000 points of damage and you fire it on an enemy with 500 shields.  With the new shield gate, your Javelin will break the shield and do 50 points of damage to the enemy's health ((1000-500)*.1).

Me neither. It's pretty ridiculous that they nerf weapons that most of the community don't even have. They really don't think some of their decisions all the way through. Brand new players to this game have it the worst with all the buffs to enemies that have happened. It feels like they balance and cater this game to the unemployed.

 Cause it still is compared to the shotgun classes that you just pointed out, who can either melt shields ridiculously fast, or take one clean shot to the head and splatter a mob's brains everywhere (where applicable)
