Let's say for example the Javelin does 10,000 points of damage and you fire it on an enemy with 500 shields. With the new shield gate, your Javelin will break the shield and do 950 points of damage to the enemy's health.
Fixed that to more realistically portray how much damage you can damn well do after stacking buffs, on a cloaked headshot.

It was definitely a good weapon, but it didn't surpass the Harrier at any point. Now, it has a huge amount of penetration taken away, and a significant chunk of damage taken off. Really disappointing if you ask me. I haven't tried using after this recent nerf, but I'm sure it is definitely greatly weaker.
It's not like Destroyer + Typhoon was the most powerful combination in the game. There were, and still are, stronger combinations of chars/equipment. Now, the Destroyer even got a nerf. Sure, I haven't played it yet but I've played with others using it and it didn't need a nerf.

AP from 100 to 25
DMG multiplier 2.0 to 1.5
please nerf the ammo clip sizes to half and increase the recoil 2x more and make the first shoots even more slower !!! please please please

Well, this mainly applies to all the players out there that don't have the gun, but also you to a small degree. What the nerf did is make the gun essentially MARGINALLY better than its competitor, the Revenant, in terms of dps. In fact, the revenant out-DPS's the Typhoon up to a certain point, and even when the Typhoon reaches a level at which it does more damage per shot than the Revenant, it is BARELY enough to warrant using the gun at all considering that you have to charge the weapon up before the damage bonus even kicks in. Compared with the revenant, which starts firing at max damage/rof immediately, the only thing that the Typhoon can boast over the Revenant really is its innate armor reduction (easily fixed by ammos/powers/mods) that makes it a far less attractive weapon to use.
TLDR for most players, the Typhoon is no longer an upgrade untill it reaches an abnormously high level. Even then, other AR's (and even smgs) can easily compete with it.

Unless you are using the Turain Soldier, a Krogan, or Destroyer, the Harrier is probably the better choice.
