Grunt held off a huge swarm of rachni on his own and Wrex wouldnt have intrusted him to lead Aralakh Company if he was weak so I don't see how it would be no contest  <_< !

It depends on whether they fight in a cutscene. Cutscenes are like kryptonite to Wrex, whilst Grunt becomes an unstoppable badass.

You guys are comparing Grunt when he's still learning and he wants to learn, grow, learn from mistakes - I love both, but Wrex would crush Grunt right now, but give him time and I would believe Grunt would surpass anyone to challenge him.

Wrex is top dog for now. He has experience and he is a biotic. There is a reason why he is the one calling the shots for the most powerful clan on Tuchanka. Grunt is very young and inexperienced but he is already one hell of a warrior and he has his youth and athleticism going for him. Given a few centuries when he starts to realize his potential and he will be a frightening force to be reckoned with. But for now Grunt is the dog you release on to your enemies but Wrex is the one that runs the show.

Wrex effectively fought himself to the top of the food chain on Tuchanka and not only managed to maintain control, but to actually implemant change.

Grunt is cute. But he's no where near Wrex's level yet

If they fought for control of the Krogan at this point, I feel Wrex would win. But he's almost 1000 by now, he doesn't have much longer, and Grunt is perfect for leading the Krogan after Wrex is gone. Wrex is a biotic. Grunt is not. Ergo, Wrex wins. Maybe when grunt is fully grown and probably so big he can shrug off throws and lifts and whatnot, but at this point he wouldn't stand a chance against Wrex... unless he can catch him in a cutscene. Because Wrex seems to get plot poisoning in cutscenes and dies so easily it's insulting.

I believe Wrex is like 1450ish years old. He was up and fighting with a small clan of his own at the end of or shortly after the Krogan rebellions. Which were 1400 years ago. The fact that he was born into a clutch means he was born before the genophage.  And Wrex's father's father was still alive when he left Tuchanka. Okeer was another pre-genophage krogan.

Krogan are the longest living known species in the ME universe. There is actually no mention or indication that Krogan die of natural causes. I'd assume they do, but it isn't implied.

It is never stated that Wrex went out alone. As far as I know all krogan bring backup to their rite. Otherwise, they are considered unworthy as it signifies nobody saw enough worth in them to have their back.

And there is no evidence that Grunt couldn't have killed the thresher with a bunch of other krogan backing him.

I'm sure Wrex will pass down the leadership to Grunt at some point. I remember one of the pictures at the end showed Wrex with Grunt in front of a huge Krogan army. So Wrex must be showing him the ropes.

Grunt just isnt ready yet. it'll be like telling a 16 year old hey wanna be president of earth.

However Grunt would eventually be able to lead due to his experience serving under shepard and wrex and Bakara as well

I love Grunt and Shep is for all practical terms his mother, Wrex is his Daddy. he couldn't ask for better parents to teach him to be the next Krogan king. But right now, Wrex would beat hiim, you don't get to live as long as he has, sit on the Throne of Tuchanka and actually make changes without being a bad-ass.
