Would also like the ability to add scars and freckles.
...Better tattooes would be nice, as well.

I'd actually take less hairstyle options if it meant that hair actually looked... good. DA2 hair looked like plastic.
A favourite critic of mine compared it to varnished wood... which it certainly does look like, it was off-putting that my femHawke had the same hair texture as my desk.

It's not just in DAII that hair looked like plastic. DAO had the same problem, though was less noticeable due to the lighting. But I recall playing DAO with some of my characters and seeing their hair look just as bad as DAII's.
Well, not just as bad, but still pretty bad. DAII's hair really did look bad, especially when you're talking to Renvil Harrowmont and you can see how painted on it all looks.
But I don't think we would have to sacrifice hairstyle options to make the hair look more realistic.

Yes, I play male characters. I had the monk and bowl cut hair styles in mind. I just can't see the Champion of Kirkwall walking around, looking like a clown. Before I sent Emile de Launcet on his way, I wanted to grab a pair of scissors and cut his hair.brushyourteeth wrote...

For the most part, the hair and tattoo options were copy/pasted straight from Origins, and the few new hair options looked ridiculous.
You probably played a guy and I'm sure that's what you're talking about - but totally just for the record, the new female hairstyles were a vast improvement.
Except for the bangs - I'm still holding out hope that Bioware will learn how to make decent bangs.

Also would love additional colors of eyes and hair, my DA:O can only have dark brown, never black. Some funky colors also would be fun.
Long hair would be great (both men and women), or hair that moves more...
edit to add - here's another vote to keep the Mirror for DA3 as well! I love that thing

One thing that I would like to see more in games is hair that moves realistically to wind and water. Those people must really use a lot of hairspray/gel to get their hair to never move, even when swimming. As I'm sure that realistic hair would probably use up a lot of resources, I'd settle for hair that looks realistic without the elements coming into play.AbsoluteApril wrote...

But yeah, longer hair would be good and more options overall. Certainly I'd be interested in scars instead of just the tattoos, but I'm evil so I'd want scars that look really gross just to annoy the people that want their character to have some wimpy little scar for their "badass" character that doesn't in any way affect their beauty.

Why not release a mod kit for DA3? Are the developers scared of having any of their content modified or changed out? I understand it's more of a console game now and you can't do anything with a console, but I think that's just a lazy excuse.

Totally agree, mod creators can barley create any good hair mods etc.. because there really isnt a mod kit for DA2 but when you go look for mods for Skyrim holy **** there's a BUNCH!EpicBoot2daFace wrote...
All they would have to do is release the mod kit. They say they're looking at Skyrim for inspirtation. Well, apparently they haven't noticed the amazing mod community for that game. It's what makes everyone want the PC version of the game.

Yah this, As if we don't have enough mods to stare forlornly at. I don't like the CC for Skyrim though either... too much to change. Me: Forehead colour? Why does her forehead need colour?

Although I can understand the perspective from a console owner who can't use any mods anyway, I think you are partly wrong if you think that you don't benefit from a toolset at all. Console players couldn't play mods for Oblivion either, but many of the most popular mod ideas were added in the sequal, skyrim, since it acted as a great source for ideas and needed improvements from their previous game. Bethesda has already stated this themselves before.
Of course, that is if, IF the devs actually bother using that kind of information to improve their next games, instead of simply overhauling the sequel completely, completely ignoring everything they did in the previous game *cough*DA2*cough*
Also, I don't really find it to be a good idea to REMOVE features just because "it would feel unfair to other platform users". When I watched several reviews for DA:O on consoles I often heard the complaint about one not being able to zoom out "baldurs gate" view like on the PC. They wanted it too and thought it unfair that they were left out with this. Bioware's solution? Remove that feature for all platforms, instead of ADDING it to them all. Great, thanks.<_<
Here is a thought: How about working towards everyone receiving the same features by adding them everywhere where technically feasible, instead of removing what others are currently enjoying on other platforms? Otherwise I might as well argue that the kinect support for all games, ME3 included, should be removed because I can't use it on my PS3. (I actually don't have either ME3 or a PS3, but you get my point)
That being said, I do hope that console owners will be able to use mods as well one day. But those complaints should be directed towards microsoft and sony for not allowing it.

I understand that mods aren't available to console gamers and that's very unfortunate. But that's part of the deal. Convenience and user-friendliness negates complex things like user mods. In the end, it's ultimately your choice. You decided to play on console. The rest of us shouldn't have to be held back because of it.AbsoluteApril wrote...

Not trying to sound like an elitist or anything, but that's just how it is. Still, I'm not saying they shouldn't improve the CC. They absolutely should. But it's never going to be as flexible or customizable without mod support.
Edit: @ Amycus89: You're right. Dawnguard was, for the most part, a 'best of' compilation of mod ideas taken directly from that community. Very useful mods (like arrow crafting) were made available to console gamers in this way. The only downside to this method of distribution is that console gamers have to pay for this extra content because it's bundled with brand new content made by Bethesda themselves.
But at least it's something.

The only way I can see that happening is if they decided to take that vanilla content and sell it as a pre-order bonus or day-one DLC. Which is very likely since EA is involved. Still, either way you slice it, your missing out on new content anyway without a mod kit of some kind, whether you're on console or PC.AbsoluteApril wrote...
Ok since 2 people have said something similar, let me try to explain. I, in no way, want anything restricted or removed from the games for PC players. I am completely envious of the mod toolsets you guys can use. I suppose my point is - I don't want things to be left out (or not considered for inclusion) of the 'vanilla' game simply because they can offer a toolkit to PC users and say 'well we let you guys get all those options you wanted, just mod!' since that leaves console players in the dust.
I hope that clarifies my original statement.
: )
It also wouldn't make sense for them to exclude content that's already been created just to give more incentive to use the mod kit. That content would ship on the disc or be distributed in some other way.

well I guess I muddied the point. sorry about that. Basically, I would love there to be more options in the CC in the standard game available to all.
