Hi!

I'm a fan of keeping things simple.
I could argue for or against a new protragonist
in the third installement of dragon age,
but just to make it clear to Bioware..

Say 'yay' if you'd like to play the Hero of Ferelden in DA III.
Say 'nay' if you feel that hero's story is over!

Only answer a yay, or nay.

I'll start!

YAY!

Nay.

I am not a fan of keeping it simple. I want the ending I chose for my Warden in DA:O to continue to matter, so I'm rather annoyed that she apparently fell into a shadowy void for no good reason during DA2. I want her to retire with her chosen love interest and be happy until she dies in agony from the Calling or is put down by darkspawn. It's the least I can do for her.

Also, I felt like the Warden was my character. Hawke and Shepard, not so much. I'd rather they give me a new character than to destroy how I imagine my Warden.

Yay if DA3 was a sequel to DAO.

Nay based on what we know about DA3.

Maybe?

I'd really be more in favor of playing as multiple protagonists over the course of a game. Let the player stay in control of their past PCs that way while still being able to keep them relevant and not just mysteriously absent from the goings on of the world. So long as your Warden is alive, then their story isn't over. All Origins ended was the story of the Fifth Blight, not necessarily the Warden, especially if they got involved with Morrigan and the DR.

Yay. However, if not the hero of Ferelden, at least not Hawke nor another "Hawke", I can't really enjoy characters pre-fabricated to that extent in a game with any kind of decision making based on the player and conversations had within the game.

Nay most definitely, for reasons nicely summed up by those posting before me.

Yay! ....

no wait....nay! or yay?

Damn, it is NOT that simple, because it would depend on what they want to do with the Warden. As some have said already: I am somehow glad my Warden's Story is over. She married Alistair, is now Queen ofd Ferelden, and after she vanished meeting Morrigan she came back from the Fade, her memories wiped from what has happened recently but somehow she freed of the taint...now she is pregnant with the royal heir of Ferelden...and happy as happy can be...Morrigan's last gift to her best and maybe only true friend, the Warden-Queen of Ferelden

So...if DA3-Warden would mean this headcanon is no longer possible, and instead Bioware goes the Mass Effect 3 route...no, not possible....this horror would be too much....no pile of rubble for her, never...

So I tend more to nay... a new character I hopefully can relate to, and the Warden-Storyline left completly untoiched and mostly unreferred to, so nothing contradicts the events in my head...

YAY

Since the warden character grew on me through many hours of gameplay I wouldn't mind getting to play him/her again.
Or at least to know what became of him/her....

Nay. Unlike Mass Effect, I'd prefer a new protagonist in the DA universe.

I want to say Yay(Really Really Badly)but i'm going with Nay.If DA3 is anything like DA2,then they'll just F up his image for a lot of Origins fans(Or at least the Origins fans that are going to bother playing the game)...I'm fine with a cameo though, and even though he won't be playable being able to choose what he say and setting his personality and beliefs based on the dialogue you pick would be awesome!

Nay, my Warden's finished.  Also this.  Mostly it's just that I got a satisfying conclusion to my Warden's story in Witch Hunt but that does factor in.
