Yeah it really is creepy.  One time I got dropped into a gold PUG during wave 5.  Overheard a American guy and a British girl chatting during the game.   I'm pretty sure they didn't know each other prior to playing this game.   The guy kept making conversation directed towards her that was laced with sexual innuendos.

For example:

Brit Girl: *gets killed by a geth trooper*  Oh I'm down

American Guy: Oh I'll go down on you.

or

American Guy to Brit Girl:  I'll babysit you cause I like watching you (I think the Brit girl was farily new to gold games)


Me thinking to myself: o_O ... wtfrig?!!!  ***Creeper alert***


Didn't know whether or not I should leave the game or endure overhearing their conversation and complete it.   Ended up doing the latter because I'm a sucker for credits. 

*edit* I think the weirdest/saddest part was the girl was actually reciprocating and enjoying the attention from this creeper. 

OMFG for a while there i thought it was the same game.   This girl was terrible, and the guy was terrible too, but was too busy talking to her, and she weas too busy giggling at whatever he said.  British girl, American guy... on Condor.... but i don't think it was gold - and they DEFINITELY didn't get anywhere near that vulgar.  they were actually much better at flirting....  Still though.

seriously - so insulting.  Though there's always the obnoxious protector types who go WAY overboard. They're almost just as bad.  It's a girl.  get over it.  they exist.  sometime's they're pretty and they let you do gross things to them.  sometimes just one or the other.  For the time being, they're just another PERSON playing the game.
though i don't like making these generalizations that essentially imply that the vast majority of girls whoop ass at the game.  I think the distribution is fairly similar to the male demographic. 
Though, my wife makes a good point in that girls who game HAVE to be aggressive, and HAVE to be good because nobody will respect them or take them seriously otherwise.
way too many mysogynistic teenage boys.  (not saying all teenage boys are mysogynistic, but that particular subset seem vastly overepresented in games.)

They are very senstive and sound like crap. They will pick up just about every sound in your house. I can't tell you how many times I've heard every splash and clang of a person doing the dishes in the house of a kinect mic, not to mention they transmit all the sounds coming from the game. On top of that, the persons voice sounds like crap to the other players, very difficult to decipher exactly what they are saying. Sounds like they're underwater.

I have a friend who works for Microsoft, he said the mic on the Kinect was never intended for voice communications, just pick up voice commands for games.... which is why it sucks so bad.

I seriously feel that the Kinect mic is the worst piece of gear that has even been released to the video game community.

I used it for ME3 campaign and even then it was:

"Sabotage"
"...Sabotage!"
"SABOTAGE!! ****IN' SABOTAGE!!!!"

This with the Kinect being about 3 feet in front of me and no other sounds to contend with (I use a Turtle Beach headset).

Last night, Gold Hydra Reapers. Extraction wave. I've been fairly dominating the match so far with my shield beast. I'm running around the other end of the map, and I hear one guy go "Hey, Cres, you're kinda far away there."

Look over, see all three of them camped in the extraction zone with 1.45 left to go. sigh.

So I say, "Yeah, I know, I'll be okay."

Ten seconds later, I get grabbed by a husk (who literally grabbed me in mid-heavy melee), and the two ravagers, one brute and one banshee I was playing tag with take eager use of the opportunity for some mild, semi-consentual gangbanging.

Followed by the inevitable "See? I told you."

At least I got some mild satisfaction out of watching him die 6 times while hunkered in the extraction zone for over a minute.

Or at least i think they were flirting.., Didn't understand a word they were saying, but the dude had a sleazy voice, and the girl kept giggling. They both kept dying, too. And they guy had his mic on the whole time, so every time he went down, we'd hear him bashing his space bar. Like, literally bashing it. With his fist, judging from the sound of it.

Hmm, they sound like novices. I can pull my weight in-game while flirting with all three other team members simultaneously. It's part of the unique skillset I bring to ME3MP.

I very lucky. Only four times when I hear other players voices. Last time I heard a voice Tuesday night at Australian time. I was in Firebase White I heard this voice I cannot make my mind up if it is a teenager voice that his voice has not being broken yet or it was a female. In that time he or she is helpful

In other time he said 'we should play as a team'. I was trying to do that and I quite because of bed.

Much earlier 'this lag is bad'

Then you get the bumping sound that sounds like helicopter blades spinning.

But 90% of the time it is quite.

Someone telling me how to play my class. (Playing my Demolisher I once had someone tell me they specced out of pylon... He never used his that match and then asked how I could stay in one place and never had to go to ammo boxes.)

Joined a random silver match earlier and: One of the players was breathing very heavily non-stop, alllllll the way up until wave 8. Also had a dog barking in the background. His breathing almost sounded like Darth Vader. Weird. I.....love.....people.
