Game of the Year
Best Story
Best Original IP
Best Writing and Dialogue
Best RPG
Best PC Game
Best PS3 Game

Edit: Added Most despicable use of in-game advertising

Update 1/29: So it's finally over and Dragon Age won in Voter's Choice Awards:
Best Story, Best Original IP, Best Writing and Dialogue, Best RPG, Best PC Game

The other 2 awards won by Uncharted 2, which gained 4000 votes overnight. lol

What do you think about this? Is this a reflection of what the gamers want or an indication of a strong community?

Done votin'. DAO sure seems to run away with first place on a lot of those, except Game of the Year, where it is competing with Uncharted 2.

Also vote DAO for the Most Despicable Use of In-Game Advertising Award. (Dubious Honors)

It's leading! LOL!

And be sure to add the award for most despicable use of in-game advertising to that list. They've got to be hit for that one, right? (Edit: as noted just above!)

Most Memorable Moment is an odd one. I don't think their choice of a memorable moment has enough impact to warrant inclusion. There are other much more memorable moments for me in DA:O.

Reminder...keep spoilers out of this thread (heading them off before they get started).

Done voting. It's pretty much DA for 2009 it seems. Well deserved.

I had a look at their Demon's Souls review, that game is definitely innovative and I can see why it's giving DA competition. Hmm maybe that'll be something to play while waiting for the DLC's.

Edit: nevermind DS is console only. Guess I"ll just go and read the DA books instead.

Dragon Age shouldn't have much problem winning at least in several categories, if the vote is objective.
I'm not sure about the Game of the Year, though. In my opinion, it is, but some may give that title to Left 4 Dead 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Batman - Arkhan Asylum, Uncharted 2 or even Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

It would be interesting to see Dragon Age vs Fallout 3, since they are both great and at the same time compeltely different, but Fallout 3 was released in October 2008.

I voted. Hopefully DA wins - it's the only deserving game that has been nominated.

Hate Gamespot, will not go there. Sure, you may say that then DA:O suffers for not winning GS's awards, but to me an award from Gamespot means less than nothing. Personal opinion, just explaining why I will not vote there, would much rather kill Gamespot employees with a great big two hander. Or beat them to death with my ****, though I reckon they would appreciate that, being ****s themselves.

Gonna be a clean sweep! Woot! (Except for best PS3 game... who cares about PS3?)

Lol, Flint.  GameSpot ain't that bad! It is a decent website for walktroughs and reviews... not all but most of them are good indication of a good game... saved me from a bad ones that I insisted and tried just to check if GS nailed it in the review...

Risen should be running for Most Surprisingly Good Game and it might win too!

I voted for DA:O :D looks like it is going to be no contest this year :P. @rageGT: even though I have DA:O on PC I also have a ps3, and I do have to say uncharted 2 and demon's souls were very good games.

DAO winning GOTY is surprising. Not that it doesn't deserve it(it certainly does) but classic RPG winning a vote on the internet? Wow.

What's wrong with Demon's soul winning?

The gameplay is far superior to Dragon's Age and that will count for a lot of people.

Believe or not,a lot of gamer still seek hack and slash/killing mechanics being solid as a priority over the story in their rpg.Otherwise, western rpg would be more respected and alas this is not really the case.
