Hi,

Dear BioWare, thank you for patch 1.05, but... when will there be another official patch that corrects gameplay issues like skills not working properly ? There still are many issues and patch 1.05 addresses none of them. I know there are two unofficial fixpacks and I'm using one of them, but they are not compatible with some other mods (for example the personal annoyance remover, which I really would like to use...)

I don't usually complain about such things, but I think the amount of important bugs left is large enough to justifiy it, and in fact I am a little surprised there isn't more discussion about this. I'd actually like to learn the toolset (I've already started) and maybe try to improve one of the fixpack, but on the other hand I don't find it normal that the players have to correct all these bugs by themselves.

Thank you

As stated in a similar post from a month ago, there won't be any more patches coming out for DA:O. They have moved well beyond that at this point. Seeing as how they halted production on the 3rd DLC for DA2 to work on DA3 and other games.

Actually, juding from bioware's past games, players generally tend to be the ones ultimately fixing their games.......just look at the massive fixpacks for the baldur's gate series.

That's sad. Yeah I know about Baldur's Gate, I played those games (but never finished the second game). Maybe in ten years we will have made a similar fixpack for Dragon Age, and started to recode the entire engine.

But still, I don't think Baldur's Gates' bugs were that bad compared to Dragon Age. I was a little shocked the other day to realise that in fact several special properties of equipment do nothing at all : "Lucky", "Weakens nearby darkspawn", "Increases monetary gain", "Reduces hostility", "+X% to healing effects received", "Messy kills"(?)...

Ya, those non working properties pretty bad, the worst offender is the haste bug I think, because it actually slows your attack speed......

Most fixes with the Elder Scrolls games are usually done by fans too. It would be nice if an "unofficial patch" wasn't neccessary. How are these guys not on the company's payroll, when they fix their product for them?

1.05 was the last patch done for Origins, and that was a long time ago. They're not going to have any new fixes for Origins when DA2 has come and gone, and they're working on DA3. Of course, I'd like for that to not be the case.

It is unfortunate that many items with broken effects are completely useless, and end up as vendor trash, where they would prove useful if their effects actually worked.

I'd like Bioware to patch the PS3 version because I had a graphical glitch when I was doing the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest.
