Why would you nerf a gun that relies you to stay out of cover for a period of time for it to be able to spin up to maximum speed so it can kill enemies faster, the damage nerf is really notciable on gold and extremly on platinum, I just want to know how you can justify doing it.

They have no explanation as to why they did it. I tried it after the nerf & it is...well bad i must say. Something not worthy of its UR status as other rare weapons like the revenant come close to it.

Still melts brutes and banshees on Platinum. Why shed tears?

The Revenant is actually better than it now for doing that if it has an AP mod on.

I guess someone at Bioware thought the Typhoon made their game too easy. As if...

Soft cover.
Hide behind a wall, wait for the spin up, then after the spin up, peek out and unleash hell.
Like it or not, Platinum is actually geared toward the best players. I can't compete there, but I don't try.

Yeah it's a real shame. I'm not enjoying destroyer as much as I was but I don't think you can call the gun 'bad' now. I totally agree about it not being needed though. I really think it's not super accurate at range, has a wind up and is mainly used on a slow class so it's a shame it's less useful now.

The Typhoon can take out Primes, Banshees, and Atlases in two seconds. Did anyone honestly think that that was NOT overpowered?

Please tell me what game you're playing to accomplish this. It's nonsense and the nerf was definitely not needed. I'm covinced BW has little sense in how they balance this game. 3 modifications to one weapon while ignoring blatant other issues in need of attention. IE: destroyer missile launcher, paladin shield size, shadow damage problems and how they're implemented.  Etc.

Terrible job by the staff at balancing this game.

We'll probably get some garbage back about how it can do it if you're on bronze, the prime/atlas/banshee has every debuff in the game, you're a GI coming out of cloak, using warp ammo IV, assault rifle rail amp 3, assault rifle amp 5, ect.  It's how those people typically operate with their "math."

Played a couple of platinum this morning and I felt the difference, but it is still powerful.
Sure now at the same level is outclassed by the harrier in terms of dps, BUT the harrier has serious ammo issues, even worst on platinum when the ammo boxes give you only half the total at once.

So still first choice if you pick an AR on platinum, unless you have a personal dispenser of ammo (aka demolisher)...then you can use the harrier if you have it at the same level or even higher.

It wasn't OP. I don't think it's worse than the revenant now either but I agree with everyone who says that while rev X is relatively easy to get, Typhoon I to X is a pain.

Still the fact it needs no AP mod or stability mod gives it an advantage over the rev. You can stick a barrel and a clip on it as I keep saying and get better results at longer ranges with the shredder mod piranha for close range (which rapes bosses faster than the old typhoon too).

Plus it was a double nerf to the destroyer. Staying out of cover for longer periods of time now isn't going to be as effective.

At least bioware did notice that the people defending the piranha made sense so they let that be.

All these weapons that kill well that I never tried. Revenant would melt a boss just like the Typhoon turned out to do? Darn.

As it is, I'll be trying out the Harrier II with the Destroyer to see how that goes. I tend to like the ultra-rare weapon performance despite how long it takes to lighten them up. Talon is on a diet program, sucking up way too many card spots. Scorpion was my first and second UR, then I never got another one. Seriously sad about that one...

And Vanguard charge. Don't forget that. Which reminds me... does Shadow's Shadow Strike bug her at any point? If not... why not use the same system for charge?

So, the Typhoon can take out Primes, Banshees and Atlases just as quickly as switching to use a rocket?

Yeah, sure.  What game are YOU playing?

BW doesnt like ARs.

edit: they actually buffed them lately. So maybe because they didnt playtest the typhoon before releasing it.

A gold atlas has 21,000 shields and 23,000 armor. So in whatever game KiraTsukasa plays, the typhoon had over 20,000 DPS. Seems legit.
