Is there any way I can play this game without CD like other Bioware games I purchased?(Mass effect 2,3 Dragon Age 2)

I installed the game , registered the game, activated the game in Origin(I like to keep my games organized by Origin and Steam)

but the game still require me put on Disk 1 everytime I play it, I found it kinda annoying and I don't like to risk to scratch the disk.

is there any legitmate way to play the game without using the disk? Thanks

Here's the deal: registering an existing installation in Origin is not enough. To remove the disc check, the game must be installed *through* Origin... which, unfortunately, means uninstalling the game completely, rebooting, and then launching Origin and downloading it. Don't forget to apply the 1.05 patch when it's done... EA Origin doesn't do that for you, unfortunately.

I'm curious - how large is the download? I have a slllloooowwww internet connections so the chances are slim that it will download without dropping the connection. But no harm in asking....

done! Thank you sir! and installing 1.05 patch now :D

but something weird happened.

now I downloaded the game from Origin and it nwo sucessfully bypass the disk check(I am very happy )

but once I got in the game, check the DLC. POOF!!!
now ALL the DLCs except Awakening are all unathourized, I already logged in my EA/Bioware account.

didn't have this problem when I was installing the game with the disk, all DLC are sucessfully installed and authorized.

Can't redeem the DLCs again with the code in Origin, can't redeem again with the code on Bioware redeem site(it said the code already used)

I don't know what to do now ..

*************EDIT****************

Nevermind, after I installed 1.05 patch, all DLCs are now authorized as they supposed to, I am a very happy man now :D. Thanks

It's a MASSIVE 27GB data, I have a quite fast connection (Optical fibre 1000mb connection)

it took me like 30-35 mins to finish the download.

about the disconnect, don't worry about it, as far as I know Origin will resume the download after you reconnect the internet.

alrighty then. Thanks Darkinners, but considering it took over 3 hours for me to download of 300MB, I don't think I'll be downloading it to remove the need to use the disk!
