What's wrong with it? The previous game ended on an incredibly unresolved note. I don't feel XIII-2 was necessary, but I DO feel XIII-3 is necessary now.

It's just that the one thing I used find appealing about these games were that they were all different. Different characters, places, time lines, etc. Now it just feels like one contained series, which causes it to lose quite a bit of appeal.

Nope, each number is a separate universe. The -2,3 games however are in the same universe.

That's debatable. For someone like myself, this one's perfectly fine. For others, going BACK (VII remake, anyone?) is the thing to do. Many choices...

Some are share similarities like Final Fantasy tactics, Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy 12 all take place in Ivalice
