A good question and if past experience is anything to go by.. no, it's not worth it because you can see the footage later in the day when its plastered all over the interwebs. That said, I may be staying up until that ridiculous hour anyway for a last-minute GW2 stress test (yay Aussie-friendly timing!) so might get to watch this "live" after all.

Its ME related I think.

They need to fix ME3 before DA3 comes out, or so many of us will not even bother. Given how the studio has acted obliviously towards the issues with their business and maketing practices, you could be right but I don't think announcing DA3 will help them atm.. I'm getting DA3 traded in or on sale, if the reviews from fans are very high.

Mass Effect Facebook game, sorry to disappoint you all, the studio in San Francisco is responsible for Dragon Age Legends which was the Dragon Age Facebook game.

They wouldn't hold a conference for DLC, they've never done that, but a new game? Sure.
