I challenge you to find something better!

"No, you're wrong [insert some boring oscar winning film or worse, a film that got some palm award from Cannes that no one cares about.] is the greatest!"

Oh really?

Does your film have big ass guns in it? Clarence Boddicker, the baddest of the bad guy who makes the Joker look like a little ****? Mutants? Hot chicks? Criminals getting shot in the nuts? The epic "You have ten seconds to comply." scene? Robots? Brutal cop killing? Drugs? Car chases? A mockery of the future state of capatalism through black humour?

"Well your film sounds like a cheesy action film!"

Correction. It is THE cheesy action film. This film has everything, it's balls to the walls that will put hair on your chest. Forget those boring pretentious films, that none of your buddies wanna watch with you, put this on and be amazed!

"Hmmmpf!"

Still not convinced? Well let me show you a scene from RoboCop!

ED 209!

Honourary mentions to other great films, such as the Thing, They Live, Total Recall, the Running Man, Monster Squad and Predator. You're awesome, but you're not the total package.

Someone hasn't seen Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus.

Or Hot Fuzz.

Also when your giant killer death robot is defeated by a flight of stairs it invalidates everything.

Sharktopus wias a true classic. Especially the part where it leaps up and eats a plane a few thousand feet up.

Almost as good as Mega Shark versus Crocosaurus but the plot wasn't as good.

RoboCop was pretty awesome, although calling it the greatest film of all time is of course hyperbole. I hope it isn't remade like that other great Paul Verhoeven 80's sci-fi romp, Total Recall. The trailers look incredibly dull.

Wait, they actually are remaking RoboCop?! Oh Hollywood... *shakes head*

RoboCop is awesome, but as much as I adore for its over-the-top violence and satirical commentary, I wouldn't put it at the top of my list of favorite films. It might be somewhere in the top 100 (or 200), though.

RoboCop is one of my favourite films, but I wouldn't say it's the best film of all time. For me, Star Wars will always be way up there, along with Tron, The Last Starfighter, and Project A.

Robocop is a classic, but it sure isn't the best film ever, not even when it comes to the cheese factor.

You sure make a good case for your fav movie!

Since I'm not one to turn down a gracious challenge, especially not one where I start with such a serious handicap....
Let's try to find a movie that could please you at least as much... If not MoAR! (which I sincerely doubt)
My own opinion on the matter being utterly irrelevant, let's suppose I didn't see Robocop.
(And, of course, none of those bothersome over-prized pretextes for lonely afternoon naps, it would be gross.)
I'm at your service, you are the judge :

1)
Starship Troopers (Paul Verhoeven, 1997) :
CON :
No humanoïd bad guy (Mr Boddicker win!)
No criminal with proper 'nuts' you could shot into
No cop (brutal killing postponed)
No Robot
No Drug
No Car
No mockery of capatalism

PRO :
Atrocious 'good' guys (no bad guy could be more repulsive than those sort of heroes. In the end, I pity the insects.)
Insects have no 'nuts', but they have many legs and claws which are also frequently shot into.
Soldiers are savagely hacked into pieces by giant insects, good trade-off for the lack of cops.
Psionic powers
Brutal Sports
Spaceships
Acidic mockery of Occidental culture

EDIT : Sorry I did something to that post while trying to quote some part of it, and had to restore it.

A challenger has it appeared it seems!

I have seen Starship Troopers and while I loved it, especially cause it's freaking awesome (No I don't need to give any other reason), I must say that it lacks the one deciding factor.

Someone to stand his ground against this guy.

It certainly predicted the future in one respect:

(6000 SUX, from Robocop)

(Hummer H3, from the real world some time later)

Advertising, man, you can't make this stuff up. Still waiting for "Climbing for Dollars" from Running Man to make the transition.

Robocop is probably Verhoeven's best film, the perfect blend of satire, action and drama. I highly doubt the remake will be able to do the same.
