One of the best endings to a movie.
God damn that Black guy makes me laugh everytime; the death glare when he sees the video, the insidious smile as Dick gets filled with led and that friendly thumbs up after he falls out the window. Always puts a smile on my face.
Still mentally scarred after seeing the toxic waste scene when I was about 6 though.
RoboCop is the greatest film of all time.

What about 'The Thing'? Forgot about that gem did ya?
Check out the prequel, The Thing (2011).

I'll counter with John Carpenter's Escape from New York (for cheesy action films that actually have some biting social commentary).

"YOU HAVE 20 SECONDS TO COMPLY!" Man, I still remember that after all these years since I first watched the movie as a kid.
One might think a slow moving man machine of a cop to be the most ridiculous idea ever, but after rewatching the film recently, I just can't stop admiring it. There are no other films that mixes satire, corporate greed, violence, action, technology, and character development so neatly together. Clarance Boddicker is also probably one of the most badass villains ever.

NO! The prequel is like a black mark on the report card of the original classic.

Predator, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Back to the Future, American Werewolf in London, Breakfast Club, Beetlejuice, Terminator, Ferris B's Day Off, Bladerunner, Die Hard...
I'd be here till next week. These are just top of my head common movies. Pound for pound, the 80's is tough to beat.

Great Action film. Unfortunately the follow up films and TV shows never catch the spirit of the original and overall fell flat. The four TV movies tried but they made Robocop way too fragile.
Yes there is a remake and I believe Samuel L. Jackson is playing one of the villians...... but he is in everything so what can you do.

I hope the remake can stand up to the original, though I fear that may be difficult. Hmm, I wonder if they are going to have the Ed-209 stair scene.

Both extremes are embodied in Ladyhawke. Michelle Pfeiffer, Rutger Hauer, high fantasy, and...synthesizers?

Predator is my favorite movie of all time, not only badass, but kills badasses. Predator makes pretty much all other monster-killers look like little b*tches.
