Does anyone actually use the voice chat?

It seems like maybe only 1 in 10 games will I hear anyone say anything. But only once in all my games had anyone replied to them. It seems like no one is using it

I used to when I played with friends, but they all stopped. Now I just use my headphones on mute.
I'll unmute to yell at any idiots in my room though for some laughs.

I say things over mic fairly often, but its true a lot of the time I get no response. It definitely seems like a lot of the people are pretty antisocial for a multiplayer game.

Your lucky you get 1 in 10. All I get is dead air. Occasionally during Gold/Platinum matches. But even that's rare.

i don't usually plug in my mic unless I'm playing with friends. I just feel like playing a few matches sometimes, not meeting people.

I'd use it but ME3 won't recognize my mic, though it works fine in skype and mumble.

I use it during the day. At night I can't. No one wants to wake up a teething baby at 3am!!! I do notice that fewer seem to be taking advantage of it. It can make or break a match...

Unless with friends nothing but silence from me.

I just use the mic in my laptop. It's always there and its always on. I tend to have it for push to talk since I have a lot of background noise (ceiling fan, loud speakers right next to mic and loud air conditioning).
I really don't talk much though. Just feels weird. I come from a PS3 as my main gaming machine where using a mic is almost unheard of.

Yes. I warn people about turrets and so on, and I almost always say thank you for a good match if it was one.

Be thankful, I'd rather people only talk when absolutely neccessary than deal with the constant barrage of tossers on XBox Live.

I use it even around strangers. So if you ever see my name pop up.. Expect a warm reply! =)

I wish I could reply sometimes when someone speaks but most of the time I don't plug in my mic (only the game thinks I've got a mic because of the webcam). I usually play when my boyfriend is sleeping anyways so I wouldn't talk much (+ english is not my first language and I'm shy).
If you talk to me and I don't answer, please don't take it personally !

I wish more people spoke, but they just don't. I don't know why.

I pretty much talk every game, whether people want it or not.

use the mike on two occasions, when things are not going good and trying to help out the new people.

I did, up until my cat chewed through the headset cords. Now I mostly just keep them plugged in so I don't have to listen to stupid people scream a lot when I get grouped with them.

I always have my mic on, so unless I'm in a party talking to friends, you can generally hear me.

Feel free to add me on Origin. Plenty of times I'll use the mic to just talk to team-mates, or help the randoms strategize. Had one guy a couple days ago who literally just didn't listen to anything I said and got killed in like 10 seconds each wave. Geth, Reactor, Gold. It was pretty funny, especially when I advised kiting the Geth away from the extraction so we could get a full extract safely. What does he do?
He runs right to the LZ, and immediately gets mauled by Hunters. The other two guys just let him die, and we snuck back, extracting safely on our own. He nearly cost us the match twice, but trust me-- strategizing together is MUCH preferable to just silent randoms ruining matches. So, in short, I'll be happy to play and talk.

I use voice chat. Sometimes.
Typically to warn people of a threat or answer questions.

I usually can get people to talk on the PC. However, on the flipside, I mostly play silver, and the large number of PC players is good enough that I can carry them through silver without really needing any communication.
When I play with some buddies we're usually just chatting it up. I also once joined a game with three british guys who were happily yucking away, and it was good fun.

It depends who I am playing with, I once joined a Gold lobby with 3 people who obviously knew each other. I think one of them said he would come to my house and stuff pebbles or socks down my throat while I slept unless I had a mic (in a funny way)
Ended up being some of the most fun matches I've had in a long time as we talked rubbish while smashing face.
I make the effort of having a mic plugged in when I join Gold generally, but usually go mute on Silver/Bronze as I'm usually tired and want some easy games when playing that.
