No, but having significantly more issues with friends connecting than usual, and that was already a problem on occasion

I know what happened. Someone at EA spilled coffee. Happened at Bungie a long time ago back in the H3 days.
If H3 days qualify for being 'back in the day' I must be getting old, but then I remember playing games off cassette tapes (Commando ftw!).
LOL. I remember those days. Earthworm Jim ftw.

Sounds like the server is about to go Cybal on us again.

I could not join any game. When I go to the Quick Search menu, I'm stuck at "Searching for Games..." everytime I hit the search bottom (doesn't matter what difficulty I chose, they won't work).

I just got booted. Won't let me back on either. Never had this problem before.

So, did we ever find out WHY the servers went down? Or is it one of those issues that we wont ever see a explanation about because someone somewhere looks down on us?

My dad worked at Kodak back in the 80 and I remember his portable computer was about the size of a mid sized car and had enough memory on it to operate dos and to use "the Internet". He would some times let me play Sim city on it too lol. And I still have the tape player with Zork on one of them.

We are investigating what happened. This was not a planned outage. Sorry for the inconvenience.
What, someone tripped over the power cord or network cable? <-- yes, it really does happens. Also, more exotic, triggering the xenon fire extinguishing mechanism by accident... or the Cleaning Lady switching off a server so that she could vaccum (old IT story), or a tech dropping a screw(driver) down the chassis, or...
A hundred and one exotic ways for a server to kick the bucket.

Hmm. 12 hours of downtime suggests major hardware failure.

That is what I was thinking...
Although this forum thread was 6 days ago, I have been having trouble connecting even today.
Whatever they tried to do last week has not worked for me and some other people.
I have a Desktop that connects just fine, but my laptop can't connect at all.
