This.

With the only highlight being brining Javik along to trash the entirety of Asari culture.

And then Kai Leng shows up.

No....

Thessia is awesome.....especially with the second squadmate trying to keep Liara focused.

It's simply too short. For the emotional investment my Shepard seemed to have when Thessia fell I would have thought I would have spent more time there.

It needed to be about half an hour longer.

No, Thessia is supposed to be brief and brutal.

The reason why Thessia is so short in the final product is because Thessia has been changed so many times in the script and many things where removed. The original Thessia part in the script sounded very promising.

Thessia is a mission that deserves some hate, but it was basically recreated as a shadow of its original self after they took Javik out of the game and shuffled the plot.

I forgive him for it being a crappy mission, both because of the change and because they were obviously rushed more and more toward the end. And I doubt he had much choice in stupid Kai Leng and TIM being in it.

It didn't feel that way to me.

It felt more like a drop in and snatch something mission, which it was. The issue with me was that it just didn't bring me in like Tuchanka did for example.

A short diversion, like the trek through the ruins gave me things to think about. Krogan art being one of them.

Thessia is supposed to be a grand place, it just felt like too short.

But I agree that it wasn't lacking in brutality.

I don't mind the space-ninja, I hate how his dialogue is as dry as FFXIII-2.  How they're horribly aligned like a bad Hollywood scene setting a worse scene up, or comic books.  His intro in the ads was great, I just wish they kept him silent 90% of the time, more for shock and awe and not a forced Rival.

This is so true-his taunts are laughable.  "Is that all you've got?"  He would have been much better silent.

At least the dialogue and VA for Isaac Clarke somewhat matched him, or the situation.

Thessia's temple slows the mission down if you want to get things out of it.

I agree about the VS thing on Thessia, but the other stuff being cut was stupid, current Thessia is a shell of it's former self.

Who said that is was suppose to be anything?

As someone who knows very little about the Asaris (sorry I never got time to get the DLCs or go down that path of discovery) and has a wide open pallet for first impressions, I was expecting much more from Thessia and was quite disappointed. It felted rushed and little to no exploration or scenery.  This was a chance to shine for Bioware, especially with gamers like myself with not much knowledge about the Asari homeworld.  Bioware claims ME3 is a good starting point for any newcomers to the series and that is what people will get to see about Thessia?  Bad first impressions, my friend.

they could've just cut VS part and kept the rest to make the mission more better, and they could've kept Kai Leng the way he was in the novel instead of some stupid attack dog

Given what Thessia was set to reveal is was way too brief and really a bit annoying. "No, that's not it. Try again." Ok really?

I agree with others since Javik was cut out, but can you imagine what it's like if someone didn't get "From Ashes" and take Javik along? A lot of the meaning of Thessia, because it was ripped apart is gotten from the fight Liara tries to have with Javik and of course what the Asari were hiding.

I get the feeling that the people in the galaxy really are not worth saving so much. They know the reapers are there and they need to use everything against them and they still make you hunt for their crap. "Oh we left a bomb over here, would you mind...."

You can never get too much Thane.  Gone way too soon in my opinion.  As cold and calculated as he was, he was also a very deep person.

James is an underrated character....he is the comic relief of the team. Anderson and Hackett are well done and the death scene of Anderson is classic. Mars is one of the best missions in the series. TIM is fine too, he is always been a villain.

Mac fumbled on Kai Leng (although way more tolerable than Benezia...yuck) and the original ending.

Who worte Ashley? Jack and her mission?

Weekes (character and mission).

Someone else wrote her in ME2 before he took over, and I'm pretty sure he also said he did not like Jack's character at first.

No ones really owned up to it yet.

Which I guess might be a good/bad thing.

I know a number of her fans aren't exactly happy with the way her character was taken and might take it out on them. But if it was only put together by someone quickly then I fear theres less of a chance that we get more exposition with her in whatever charcater driven DLC there may be.

Cause lets face it, although her date was OK, the rest of her dialogue was pretty brutal. I found the constant one liners, even after major missions to be annoying. I felt like 'am I ever going to be able to talk to you or not'

And it really sucks knowing that there are sound files (if I remember right) with a talk about what it was like for Shepard coming back after bing dead. It like they forgot that her charcater needed something inbetween being distrustful to jumping back into the his/her lap. There was no real middle ground between the whinning and the everythings fine part.

This is why I think Thessia should have been a hub.  The Reapers didn't hit it immediately, and the way Shepard reacted it's clear they wanted this strong emotional reaction.  Unfortunately, with how short that section was, it was pretty hard to care that much.

Sorry but its a warzone....its not rushed...the mission demanded urgency.

Same deal with Palaven, Rannoch, and and SurKesh....you don't see those planets in its entirety.

Wrong

Ashley's dialogue was well done.....

Nevermind that she DID explain what it was like for Shepard to come back from the dead. Nevermind she practically names the "I was Lost Without You" track in the soundtrack.

And what "one liners"?

Who worte Ashley? Jack and her mission?

- Vega: Loco / Lola (Typical marine. Charisma of a brick)
- Anderson: I was born in London.
- Hackett: We can't win conventionally.
- TIM went full retard.
- Kai Leng: wannabe assassin with plot armor (VA was good though). Worst dialogue lines. (better than Benezia? wut?)

- Prologue was the worst mission (aside from ending). "It's not about tactics or strategy" / "We fight or we die".
- Mars was indeed a good mission... but the crucible.
- Crucible and its space magic.
- Endings were one of the most epic fails in the game history.

Great work Mac. Nothing to say.

Yep....AND on the Citadel.

Most of her script was put on the Citadel for some odd reason.

So what if James is a "typical" marine.....that is the point, he is caught up in something bigger. Doesn't mean he is a bad character.

TIM is evil and was playing you in ME2.....the fanbase is too ignorant to see this.

Benezia is atrocious...."Deanna Troi" was atrocious in VA'ing her.

Anderson is an excellent character and his death his classic.

yea because all of your squad has a cutscene dialogue on Citadel, so not counting that. And on the ship all you get is one liners except that one funny scene with her drunk
