TIM is evil and was playing you in ME2.....the fanbase is too ignorant to see this.
Benezia is atrocious...."Deanna Troi" was atrocious in VA'ing her.
Anderson is an excellent character and his death his classic.
Which writer wrote what in ME3?

Which I guess might be a good/bad thing.
I know a number of her fans aren't exactly happy with the way her character was taken and might take it out on them. But if it was only put together by someone quickly then I fear theres less of a chance that we get more exposition with her in whatever charcater driven DLC there may be.
Cause lets face it, although her date was OK, the rest of her dialogue was pretty brutal. I found the constant one liners, even after major missions to be annoying. I felt like 'am I ever going to be able to talk to you or not'
And it really sucks knowing that there are sound files (if I remember right) with a talk about what it was like for Shepard coming back after bing dead. It like they forgot that her charcater needed something inbetween being distrustful to jumping back into the his/her lap. There was no real middle ground between the whinning and the everythings fine part.
Wrong
Ashley's dialogue was well done.....
Nevermind that she DID explain what it was like for Shepard to come back from the dead. Nevermind she practically names the "I was Lost Without You" track in the soundtrack.
And what "one liners"?
By one liners I meant the quick replies after each mission when 'talking' to her on the normandy.
Maybe I'm spoiling myself too much by playing ME1 and DA:O again, but I loved how you could go up and actually have a conversation (even if you've had it before ) with party memebrs whenever you wanted.
The only memorable thing I remember hearing from her on the Normandy post was kicking the flashlight heads asses again. Though even that was just a quick line.
And I guess brutal dialogue wasn't the right choice of words. Maybe character presence and atmosphere?
I don't know, to me it felt strange interacting with her. It felt like there was something missing.
1) Get yelled at a bit at the beginning, then lose her for half the game cause 'plot'.
2) Try to suck up to her to win her back and not lose her at coupe.
3) Get her back on Normandy finally, expect to talk about stuff like old times. Nothing happens.
4) Email, yay can finally talk to you, oh on the citidal, once
5) Nothing
6) Another meeting on the citadel with her sister, touching i guess
7) Nothing
8) Booty time + mandatory goodbye scenes
To me, considereing she's MIA half the game, there should have been more to do once she got back on the Normandy, which is why I was confused why the cut the whole talk about death part. Would have made her lines at the cerberus base more powerful.
And I totally realize I'm being selfish when compared to ME2 characters. Just the whole not being able to play with a character for half a game like Iwanted to, after not being able to in the last installment, grinds my gears.

James is an underrated character....he is the comic relief of the team. Anderson and Hackett are well done and the death scene of Anderson is classic. Mars is one of the best missions in the series. TIM is fine too, he is always been a villain.
Mac fumbled on Kai Leng (although way more tolerable than Benezia...yuck) and the original ending.
Who worte Ashley? Jack and her mission?
I'll agree that James is underrated but.. Not really the comic relief; much more the solidBro/muscle of the team imo. I often brought James along just for the simple fact that James is probably the best physical specimen on the Normandy, and if im about to go into hardcore/intense combat i want the biggest badasses/toughest people around me. That said though, i think James is at his best when paired with Cortez. I thought it was smart, and added sublime depth to both James/Cortez's characters that he's bros with the gay dude on the ship, and makes no issue of it.
Anderson and Hackett are contrived, constantly pounding "we cant win conventionally." (not trying to bring that topc up) where at the end of ME1 Anderson said the line: "the Reapers are coming, and togeather, the galaxy will stand united against the Reapers and drive them back into Darkspace.", at the time indicating that the biggest advantage you had was, the citadel, control of relays, and communication. Not the need of some super-secret-space-magic-device (crucible.). It always felt like all of their dialogue existed to make sure that ME1 cannon was forgotten, and replaced by "cruicble, crucible, crucible"..
Also theres a scene with Anderson on the QEC, as played with a maleshep, its really awkward..
Shep: "Captain Anderson. Sir, how are things on Earth?"
Anderson:"Sir?? I may have reinstated you, but that doesnt give you permission to go all formal on me commander.
I cringe at that everytime, cause from the tone and way it comes out it sounds like hes f*cking hitting on me. And it just leaves me like "Uhhhhhh, what?". Really contrived attempt at giving the relationship with Anderson a buddy/buddy feel to it.
Mars, best mission? It did nothing Really for the game lol, it only existed to allow the crucible to be the main plot point of the story, and its a weak point at best.
Tim has always been a villain, but never in a cut and dry "im a standard bad guy, grrr" archetype. In ME2 he was complex, had hidden/alterior motives, and everything he did, he did for a reason, a reason that was typically hidden/obscured from Shepard. You didnt want to trust TIM, yet you had to work with him, and working with him has great advantages and perks, but you can never ultimately know what hes doing/or why, it was a really well done moral dillemma. In ME3 he does things for no reason at all, if only to somehow be involved and give Kai-Leng the opportunity to poop on Shepard's chest, or whatever it is that queer space ninjas are into. Mac made TIM f*cking stupid in ME3, and really forced his involvement in the plot in a way that hurt the story overrall.
And Kai-Leng is a joke. Benezia never really had that much involvement, but her limited plot influence is infinitely greater than Kai-Leng's entire existance. Space Ninja? All black tights, wears a mask from Eyes Wide Shut, and is obsessed with Shepard? Yeah, Kai-Leng is gay. Straight up, he just wants to get all up on Sheps nuts.
Original ending and EC ending both include a Holographic Child, and are both horrible.

Ah crap I missed putting the drunk scene in the list.
And believe me I did talk to her. Like I said it just felt worng not being able to talk after a mission when on the Normandy.
I get that there's the same amount of lines as other main squadies but its strange in that it doesn't feel like it cause they mostly bunched it up into 2 key events off the Normandy.
Also even though I don't have Ashes DLC, why didn't they let you do Eden Prime before Mars? At least it would make the most sense to do this with the VS and that way you still get Javik for the entire game. Or if they really wanted to be stubborn then at least give them more than 2 extra lines when coming back as a tradeoff for waiting to recruit Javik so late.
