Hi, I just did Ano's confrontation with his father for the umpteenth time, and an idea occured to me. We took the lawful path. However, I suspect that a stealthy search through the Saerk estate might turn up the evidence that he commited the murder. Perhaps an invisible Jan Jansen? But he wouldn't be able to open doors without being seen. Hmmm.
I still remember the first time I played this game on release. I was playing female and romancing Ano, and I did in fact go to investigate at the Saerk estate. I remember it turning into a battle when I pressed the issue. I also remember it breaking my romance with Ano, and I reloaded over and over until I figured out all the "right" answers to his dialogue screens in there to not break the romance.
Rather than risk my run, I'm going to ask for spoilers. Has anyone else ever tried this? Is it possible to have Saerk arrested for the murder or to kill him in self-defense after evidence is found, without breaking romance with Ano or sabotaging his knighthood?
A bit of trivia: in the original release, pre-patch, there was a bug that prevented the altar in the Temple of Amaunator from raising Ano after his vampirism and true death. Bodhi's heart, Ano's body, no resurrect - the altar just kept dumping his body and the heart out on the ground. I was *so* mad that I had to finish the rest of the game without him! I would hope and assume that this is fixed now.
Thanks.

There is no evidence in the Saerk estate, although there is a fair amount of cash to steal. It's a carbon copy of the slaver building in the temple district, in both the best loot is in a hidden passage in the wall on the upstairs east side.
Anomen's quest just plain sucks. There is no way to complete it successfully. If you go and kill him, it turns out he was innocent. If you don't kill him, I think he turns out to be guilty. Developer intent FTW. I generally take out my aggression by killing Saemon Havarian twice, once on the sinking ship during the ambush, and then again in Amkethran.
