How to read .NCS files? (or where to find DLC .NSS files?)

Hi!

I need to check the content of a .NCS file. It's a script file that is already compiled apparently. I wanted to check certain game .ncs files to learn a couple things.

Is there any way to read these files yet?

Thank you

Look in the nss file with the same name.

I'd do it but I can't find a .NSS.

I am looking at a designerscripts.erf file, inside which there are several .NCS but no .NSS. Where would be the corresponding .NSS?

To be more precise, I'm looking in the Stone Prisonner module/data folder. Can't find .NSS files...
I'd like to look into the zz_shl_debug script (and other zz_[name]_debug)

Try opening the Single Player module in the toolset and looking under Script->_Debug->Followers->Shale

Interesting. Thank you for that one, and it shows that it's actually the .dlg that holds the data I'm looking for.

But Shale is very much included within the game. How about other DLCs such as Warden's Keep? I can't seem to access them through the Single Player module, and they don't have their own module either...

Basically what I'm looking for, is to find the command that adds a zone (icon) to the main world map. I want to add Sulcher's Pass because it's not there (bug). I also want to find the command to add an NPC to an area as Levi is not in camp (bugagain).

Because zz_gwb_debug adds Soldier's Peak to the world map, I thought it could help me understand how to add Sulcher's Pass... But I can't even check the content of zz_gwb_debug.

Thanks for your help till now, I wouldn't spit on some extra helping though :P

One problem is that you may not find access to the full dataset(s) for DLC.  If you could freely access the DLC content from the toolset, then it would be trivial to pirate it.

I haven't used my Shale code yet, so I couldn't really say anything about the level data downloaded, but I expect it would be encrypted in some way.

There are already tutorials in the toolset wiki for adding pins to the world map.  I suggest looking at those.

Thank you :)

Though, looking at this tutorial, adding a pin to the world map comes down to setting MAP_MAP_PARENT_RESREF properly. However Honnleth has it set already and it's not showing...there must be something else that's not listed in the tutorial I guess.

Anyway now the issue is even worse :P There is no trace whatsoever of the Sulcher Pass, nor of Levi Dryden... Why is that?? Can you see them with your toolset? Even when the corresponding DLC is not installed, they should appear in game (and so in the toolset). They're completely absent from my computer (see this post I made about it)
