So I'm too lazy to playthrough a game to recruit Loghain currently but I was just wondering does he have conversations with any of your companions while running around? If so, are there any memorable ones that people care to share?

Yes there are - there is a particularly funny one between Zevran and Loghain in which Zevran reports he has failed to kill the Grey Wardens....
