Ok, I just bought dragon origins not to long ago and with the game I purchased it comes with the shale downloadable character. Now I put the redeem code in and for weeks it never showed up in downloadable content, but, I checked it just recently and now it's there. Now here's the problem it will download shale just fine, but, it does not and will not install it at all.  So, WTF is going on, is it bugged?? or is it something I am not doing right?, I really would like to get what I purchased. Another problem this website is messed up too. A little help and/or info is needed here.

I am experiencing EXACTLY the same problem. It's almost as if the "downloadable content" feature is merely designed as an added BioWare cash flow scheme. Additionally, I entered the promo code for the dragon armor, and got only the helmet! Don't get me wrong, DragonAge is an excellent game, but games are big business too. BTW. I was FINALLY able to change my profile photo today! Looks like this website keeps getting better!

you only get the helmet to start off with...
when you make it to your camp, you can purchase the other parts of the set from the merchant there.

I just got it to finally work, yeah after months of having the game : ( . The downloadable content downloader needs alot of work.

How do we get Shale to install?? It downloads fine, but never installs!

So having the game actively showing in your profile doesn't affect using the DLC in any way after all? Neither Baboog nor Red have completed adding DA: O to their profiles, or the same "D" under my forum avatar's beard would be showing under your own forum avatars right now.

(It should be noted that the miniature shield with a dragon on it wasn't used at first.)

Unable to redeem code.

That code has already been used, and cannot be redeemed again.



I keep getting that error, probably because I tried to redeem the code, but it didn't work. So am I now SOL?

OK. I think I found a major clue? Every once in a while an error pops up say, "Application failed to access online profile". Is that the DLC service having a problem going online, or what???

I had no problems when I first got it, played for a month, stopped playing for a few weeks and now all my content is gone! I got the complete edition which had both codes. Whats up with this?

I can't play since my save has linked up to most of it :/

I'm in the same position. Have not tried to resume my save in DO-A in a few weeks, now all my downloadable content is only available to buy? When it came with the Ultimate Edition already >.<

Just got the game, having the EXACT same problem...trying to redeem the Shale bonus code which the game accepted but didnt download toward the game...

The answer is pinned as a sticky on top.  And it's been up there for a year now, so digging up this rotten old corpse of a message thread was totally unnecessary.
