I'm very bad at sniping, so it may come as no surprise im awful with the Widow. Recently i unlocked the Indra and damn i pwned a match (But yet again i was at 4th place, i have never been in the first place, is that unusal?)

For me it was the best SR, what are other y'all opinion?

Shield. Gate.

Oh, and the whole automatic thing probably helps. And the recent buff.

I was surprised how effective it is on Gold while the shield gate hampers supposed anti-materiel rifles so much.

We used 3 of them on Platinum/Giant earlier tonight... on Infiltrators its was dominant. On my Engineer... it was pretty good. Ripped Phantoms apart especially.

Indra is unique.

It is also fun.

well, you can kill shielded enemies with one clip... It is not great against armored Reaper units, but still decent

I saw it doing pretty good on Infiltrators with AP ammo... ate up the big bosses actually.

I'd say its a tossup between the valiant, BW and the Indra.

B-B-B-Black Widow. Mine's at III. I also have a Valiant IV, but I prefer the BW.

It's full auto with some barrel rise. Put the reticle on enemy torso, pull trigger. Let weapon climb up to targets head, keep it there. When it goes too high or the target dodges, reaquire target and repeat. Use tac cloak with it... or Disruptor Ammo and an Engineer.

Indra is highly effective against trooper units without armor, once you face armored opponents expect to underperform, as for "it is good with equipment" a gun should be fine without equipment, equipment suppose to compliment the gun not redeem it.
BlackWidow and Valiant still standing on top of SR-s (along with pesky Krysae giggling in some corner)

I always liked my Indra X before but after the TC nerf i used it a lot less as it was a bit weaker with armor anyway without good ap ammo on it. The buff gives me some reason to use it again.

edit : I still think that the Black widow remains the best SR in the game atleast for me.

I'd say so too. Though the Indra is only good with an armor piercing mod and it's really lackluster on Platinum. I'd much rather have a shotgun-wielding Infiltrator.

The game gives so much equipment, you'd be a fool to not use equipment every game. I mean really... why the heck not? What else are you going to do with it? Equipment allows you to have variety in your game. I don't want to use the Harrier/Claymore/Piranha every game... but with equipment I can be nearly as dominant as those weapons with a slew of other options.

A weapon should be 'decent' or 'usable' without equipment, and dominant with it... that's my opinion anyway.

FWIW... I'd rather take the Indra into Platinum than the Black Widow. It's so much easier to use... and forgiving in tense situations. Hell... I'd rather take the Saber than the Black Widow as well. Look at the stats... Saber is 100 damage behind it... but with tons more ammo for bosses and forgiveness for missing Phantoms... and it suffers no hipfire penalty.

Saber > Black Widow

Black Widow and the Valiant are still better SRs. However the Indra is probably the most fun of the three for me.

Go look at the numbers brotha... it's a no brainer how much better the Saber is. The Valiant is better than the BW too. I used my kids Valiant VI yesterday... holy crap is that thing dominant... much better than my Valiant III.

Lol Indra sucks. Widow black widow and valiant are all superior. Try taking down an atlas with an Indra on gold or platinum and you'll see

We did... about a 20-30 of them... they didn't have a chance.
