I suspect they're weighing their options on how to buff it. They were probably hoping that more people would try it out and like it, but is hasn't happened, so a buff is probably inevitable. Probably doing the same thing on the opposite end with the Piranha, deciding how to nerf it (as the nerf will invariably be met the tortured cries of "damn nerfers/whiners won" and "omg gun ruined" as though either were the case).

compare it it the Revenant X like in Boom's Thread.  You might as well use the Revenant, and it did not cost a bunch of PSP to get.  btw, do you even have the Typhoon, as your manifest is blocked?

Hah, the Harrier is the only viable/decent AR in the game....I'm very surprised it hasn't felt the nerfhammer several times now.

Both Typhoon nerfs were ridiculous, but the first one at least was passable. Now? Another useless AR that happens to also be UR.

Thanks for the chuckle. While they are at it, they should change all the ARs to various nerf rifles.

Oh, and the Javelin should the the Nerf Rocket Launcher!

I didin't think the Typhoon nerf was necessary, considering with it's heavy weight it was only really usable by soldier classes, and finally gave them a really viable Assault Rifle to use. It already had downsides (e.g. being an assault rifle that you can't just pop out of cover and fire a single shot to get all of your damage, and the warm up period).

At Least bring it up to 1.75 damage multiplier. It's just not ultra rare worthy anymore. Seriously I use the hurricane now more than my typhoon. even with amps it just doesn't feel the same. AT LEAST add weapon amps at level IV since you're going to be nerfing everything. At least the amps will be consumable.

I moved this weekend and don't have Internet at my new house yet, so I haven't gotten to play with my 'Phoon since the second nerf -- as such, I can't speak to how much effect it had. However, given the volume of complaints and general hysteria/rage this nerf has generated, I'd think it would be in BioWare's best interest to rebuff the weapon at least moderately as a conciliatory gesture.

I didn't think it was particularly imbalanced before (I have the Typhoon IV), so I would think they could at least meet in the middle and rebuff the full-RoF DM to 1.75.

Only level III, sadly. RNG's a cold-hearted ****. Still rocks Platinum.

While BoomDynamite is correct that the damage is comparable to an equal-level Rev, the Typhoon has a 67% larger clip with an equal max fire rate, is more accurate, and has a built-in AP mod. The gun is still a pure upgrade to the Rev; people just want damage, damage, damage. Worse, people just got spoiled by its initial overpoweredness and now come back to whine that "it wasn't overpowered" after it was the only gun they'd use because it was so damn powerful compared to everything else (i.e. is actually overpowered).

Your posts are the only ones I see that are incredibly pathetic.  This quote is magic.  "I have a similar idea. Why don't you go play with your friends on a modded game and stop ruining balance for everyone? Oh, wait, you're not cool with that because you're being excluded."  Sweet Jesus.  Are you even the tiniest bit aware of how this game works?  You get banned for modding your MP game to make things easier, whether the other 3 players are in agreement or not.  Because you're still getting credits and experience for your global account.

Yes, it's PURE upgrade!  It's not like it's ten times as rare, weighs twice as much and it sucks for the first second and a half of firing.  Good God.  Do you even play MP?  Or are you just putting random words together trying to troll somewhere?  You don't seem to know anything about anything.  If fail was a physical meterial, I would be convinced that you're a fail golem.

Nerfing the typhoon just makes everyone migrate to the Harrier.. again. I doubt this is what Bioware really wants right? A buff to 1.75x seems reasonable.

Pure ignorance. BioWare isn't going to do anything unless outcomes are significantly affected. BioWare is not scanning your Coalesced and generally can't know unless you mod credits or start running 5-minute Plat games. Regardless, it's totally irrelevant: you're just trying to straw man the whole thing because you don't like the reality that you have no real argument that doesn't hinge on exclusion.
